Fits BLU Studio 5.0 smartphones using OEM part number C706045200T or C706045200P replacement.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 2000mAh delivers typical daily operation cycles on the D530 platform.
Connector slides vertically into the battery slot with single retention tab; no adapter needed.
We bench-tested the cell across three full charge-discharge cycles; BMS accepted input current without early cutoff.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Studio 5.0 / D530 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C706045200T)

This is a 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-ion battery for the BLU Studio 5.0, D530, D530X, and D530e smartphones. It replaces OEM part numbers C706045200T and C706045200P. Fit this battery when the original cell no longer holds a charge, swells, or fails to accept current.

  • Studio 5.0 and D530 variant compatibility: The D530, D530X, and D530e share the same battery bay dimensions and connector pinout as the Studio 5.0. All variants run on the same 3.7V rail with identical BMS handshake logic, so one cell covers the full model range listed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a D530 platform. The BMS accepted the new cell on first connection, charge current stepped down correctly at top-of-charge, and no cutoff faults triggered during the discharge curve.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and complete one full discharge-charge cycle before resuming normal use. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BLU Studio 5.0 after a cell swap

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's voltage-capacity curve. As the phone pulls load current from the modem or display, terminal voltage drops faster than the gauge expects. The BMS reads that voltage drop as a hard undervoltage event and cuts power before the percentage indicator reaches zero. One complete discharge down to auto-shutoff followed by a full charge resets the coulomb counter and eliminates most premature cutoffs.

Phone not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If the cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters a lockout state and blocks normal charge current to prevent thermal runaway on a deeply discharged cell. The phone will show no response on the charger. Connect the device to a wall adapter — not a computer USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC applies a low trickle current to recover the cell voltage back above the BMS re-enable threshold of around 3.0V, after which normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BLU Studio 5.0 keeps showing a different battery percentage every time I restart it after putting in the new battery — what's wrong?

The fuel gauge IC inside the phone is still using the discharge curve it learned from the old cell. It hasn't mapped the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity relationship yet. Run one complete discharge — let the phone shut itself off — then charge uninterrupted to 100% without removing the charger. After that single cycle the coulomb counter recalibrates and the percentage display stabilises.

Fast charging stopped working on my Studio 5.0 after I replaced the battery — was it working before?

Yes, this is expected on the first cycle after a cell swap. The charge IC re-negotiates the charging protocol on each new cell connection, and some BLU firmware variants default to standard charge current until the BMS completes its first full cycle handshake. Complete one full standard charge to 100%, then reconnect the fast charger. The higher charge rate should be accepted from the second cycle onward.

The back of my BLU Studio 5.0 feels noticeably warm near the battery area while charging the new cell — is that normal?

A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during the first few charge cycles than a broken-in cell does. The charge IC is pushing current into a cell with slightly higher internal resistance than the worn original, which converts more energy to heat. This typically settles after three to five full cycles as the cell's impedance drops. If the phone becomes hot to the touch — not just warm — disconnect the charger and check that the replacement cell dimensions match the bay; excess pressure on the cell can raise impedance further.
