Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Dash 5.0 / D410 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C726004200T)
This is a 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-ion battery for the BLU Dash 5.0, D410, D410a, and D410i smartphones. It replaces OEM part number C726004200T. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.
- D410 series compatibility: The D410, D410a, and D410i all share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake logic — one cell fits the full variant range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a D410 unit. The BMS accepted the charge current without tripping, and the protection circuit cut off cleanly at the low-voltage threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: On first use, disable fast charging if available and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC calibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve — skipping this step causes the percentage readout to drift for the first several cycles.
Why the Dash 5.0 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The Dash 5.0 uses a fuel gauge IC that builds its capacity model from the previous cell's charge and discharge history. When you install a new cell, that learned model no longer matches the actual discharge curve of the fresh battery. The IC will show inflated or deflated percentages until it collects enough cycle data to recalibrate. One full discharge down to automatic cutoff, followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%, resets the coulomb counter and brings the readout back into line.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still mapped to the old cell's voltage-to-capacity curve. Under a high-draw load — mobile data, screen-on, or audio playback — the new cell's terminal voltage drops faster than the IC expects, and the phone hits the hardware cutoff before the display reads zero. The fix is not a settings change. Fully discharge the phone until it shuts itself off, charge to 100% without interruption, and repeat once more. After two full cycles the IC's curve realigns with the new cell and the early cutoffs stop. Target at least 3.7V resting voltage before assuming the cell is at fault.

Frequently Asked Questions
My BLU Dash 5.0 won't turn on at all after sitting with the new battery installed — what's wrong?
If the replacement cell sat in storage for an extended period before shipping, its voltage may have dropped below the BMS lockout threshold of around 2.5V. The protection circuit disables output to prevent cell damage, so the phone sees no power at all. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage rises above the BMS recovery threshold, at which point normal charging resumes.
Fast charging stopped working the first time I charged the replacement battery — is something broken?
Nothing is broken. On the first charge cycle, the BMS on a new cell presents higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, and some charge controllers respond by stepping down to standard charge current rather than applying fast-charge current to an uncharacterised cell. Complete one full standard charge cycle to 100%, then disconnect and power the phone on normally. On the second charge cycle, the controller recalculates impedance and fast charging resumes. If it still doesn't work after two full cycles, check that the charging cable supports the required current — a data-only cable is the most common culprit.
The phone feels noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges — is that a sign of a defective cell?
Warmth during the first one to three charge cycles on a new high-impedance cell is normal. The charge IC dissipates more heat when it's pushing current into a cell that hasn't yet settled to its operating impedance. As the cell breaks in, internal resistance drops and heat generation decreases. If the phone becomes hot to the touch — uncomfortable to hold — or if charging stops before 100% with a temperature warning on screen, remove it from the charger and let it cool to room temperature before continuing.
