Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Advance 4.5 / A310 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C645004170T)
This is a 3.7V, 1750mAh Li-ion cell built to fit the BLU Advance 4.5 and A310 smartphones. It slots into the same compartment as the original C645004170T and reconnects to the same charge IC on the motherboard. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge or fails to power the phone at all.
- Advance 4.5 and A310 compatibility: Both models run the same 3.7V power rail and use the same physical connector and cell footprint. One replacement cell covers either variant without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Advance 4.5 mainboard. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake on the first cycle and held voltage within spec across screen-on and modem-active load states.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable any fast-charge mode and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BLU Advance 4.5
This happens when the cell voltage drops below what the modem or display needs under load, even though the fuel gauge still reads a figure above zero. The cell hits a voltage cliff — a point where internal resistance causes a sharp voltage sag under current draw. A fresh cell with a properly calibrated fuel gauge IC eliminates this by giving the system accurate voltage data before the cliff is reached. After fitting the replacement, run one full discharge cycle so the coulomb counter resets its baseline.
Phone shows wrong battery percentage after cell swap
The fuel gauge IC on the A310 stores a discharge profile from the old cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry, so the percentage readout drifts or jumps. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge from 100% down to automatic shutdown, then a full charge without interruption. After that cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates against the new cell and percentage readings stabilise. Expect minor drift during that first cycle — it corrects itself once the cycle completes.

Frequently Asked Questions
My BLU Advance 4.5 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?
The BMS locks out below roughly 2.5V per cell to prevent damage, and a cell stored uncharged can drop into that lockout zone. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. If the charge IC can trickle current into the cell, the BMS will release the lockout and the phone will boot. If the screen shows no charge indicator after 30 minutes on a wall adapter, the cell has discharged too far for the BMS to recover and needs replacing.
Fast charging stopped working on my Advance 4.5 right after I put in the new battery — the phone just charges slowly now.
On the first cycle with a new cell, the charge IC sometimes falls back to standard rate because the BMS hasn't yet confirmed cell impedance is within the fast-charge acceptance window. Run one complete standard-rate charge to 100%, then discharge fully to shutdown. On the second cycle, reconnect to the charger — the charge IC re-negotiates the protocol once it has one cycle of impedance data from the new cell. If fast charge still doesn't engage after that second cycle, check that the USB cable supports the required current rating, as cable resistance is the next most common cause.
The back of my BLU Advance 4.5 feels warm near the battery during the first few charges — is that normal?
A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during the first few charge cycles than a broken-in cell does. The charge IC pushes current into a cell that hasn't yet settled to its operating impedance, which produces moderate warmth at the battery cover. This reduces after two or three full cycles as the cell impedance drops. If the phone becomes hot to the touch — not just warm — stop charging and check that the battery connector is fully seated, since a partial connection increases resistance and heat at the contact point.
