Fits VIVO X5 Pro and replaces OEM battery B-81 or BK-B-81.
This cell supplies 3.8V at 2300mAh, delivering 8.74Wh to the X5 Pro's modem and display stack.
Connector seats into the standard phone slot with no modification required.
We ran full discharge cycles on the platform — BMS accepted charge without fault codes.
On first use, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BBK VIVO X5 Pro — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-81)

This is a 3.8V, 2300mAh lithium-polymer cell built to fit the VIVO X5 Pro and X5Pro smartphones. It replaces OEM part numbers B-81 and BK-B-81 directly. Total energy capacity is 8.74Wh at the rated voltage.

  • VIVO X5 Pro and X5Pro compatibility: Both model designations share the same battery bay dimensions (107.00 × 44.52 × 3.05 mm), the same 3.8V nominal rail, and the same B-81 connector pinout. No adaptation or modification is needed between the two variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on a VIVO X5 Pro unit and confirmed the BMS handshake completed on first boot. Charge acceptance started immediately and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold — no anomalous shutdowns during testing.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This gives the coulomb counter a complete reference curve against the new cell before the phone starts reporting accurate percentages.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a replacement cell

A new lithium-polymer cell has a slightly different internal resistance profile than the original. When the VIVO X5 Pro's modem fires a high-current burst — during a call, GPS lock, or screen-on wake — voltage sags sharply across that resistance. If the sag pulls the cell below the BMS undervoltage trip point, the phone cuts out even though the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. The fix is one full calibration cycle: discharge to shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that cycle, the fuel gauge IC maps its thresholds to the new cell's actual voltage curve and the false cutoffs stop.

Phone not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Lithium-polymer cells self-discharge in storage. If this battery dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell before installation, the BMS will have entered lockout mode to prevent damage — and the phone will show no response at all when you press the power button. Connect the phone to a wall charger, not a PC USB port, and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell at low current until it climbs back above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.9–3.0V, at which point normal charging resumes automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions

The VIVO X5 Pro shows the wrong battery percentage after I put in the new B-81 cell — it jumped from 60% to 15% on its own. What's happening?

The fuel gauge IC in the X5 Pro is still using the discharge curve it mapped to your old, degraded cell. When a fresh cell delivers higher voltage at the same state of charge, the coulomb counter reads it as a mismatch and corrects erratically. Run one complete cycle — discharge the phone to automatic shutdown, then charge straight to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle, the fuel gauge recalibrates to the new cell's curve and the percentage readings stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in the phone after fitting the replacement battery. Is the new cell faulty?

This is normal behaviour on the first connection. The charge IC in the X5 Pro negotiates charging protocol against BMS parameters it hasn't seen before, and on the initial cycle it defaults to standard 5V charging rather than risking an overcurrent condition on an unknown cell. Unplug the charger, wait 10 seconds, and reconnect. If fast charge still doesn't engage, complete one full standard charge to 100% first — after that cycle the charge IC accepts the new BMS handshake and fast charging resumes on subsequent plugs.

The phone feels noticeably warm near the battery area while charging the new cell. Is that a problem?

A new high-impedance lithium-polymer cell dissipates slightly more heat during the constant-current charge phase than a broken-in cell does. On the first few charge cycles, mild warmth near the battery bay on the X5 Pro is within normal range. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or charging pauses on its own, that signals the thermal sensor is tripping — switch to a lower-current charger (5V/1A) for the first two full cycles to bring the heat down, then return to your standard charger.
