Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wiko Fizz — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (FIZZ)
This is a 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Wiko Fizz smartphone. It fits the Fizz directly and restores normal device operation when the original cell has degraded. Capacity is 5.55Wh — matching the stock specification.
- Wiko Fizz fit: The Fizz uses a compact removable cell on a 3.7V single-cell rail with a direct connector to the charge IC. This replacement matches that connector pinout and voltage tolerance so the BMS handshake completes on first boot.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the Fizz platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the fuel gauge IC initialised correctly after one complete discharge cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging for the first full discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Wiko Fizz after a cell swap
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's voltage curve. The new cell hits a steeper voltage drop under modem or screen load, and the system reads it as a critical low before the displayed percentage catches up. The phone shuts down to protect the cell even though the gauge shows charge remaining. One full discharge cycle — down to automatic cutoff, then a full charge — lets the coulomb counter recalibrate to the new cell's actual curve.
Percentage jumping erratically in the first two days after fitting
The fuel gauge IC on the Fizz uses a learned discharge model tied to the original cell's internal resistance profile. A new cell has a different impedance signature, so the IC oscillates between estimates until it builds enough cycle data. This is not a fault in the replacement cell — it is the gauge recalibrating. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles without interruption and the percentage readout stabilises. If jumping continues past three full cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated and making clean contact on all pins.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Wiko Fizz won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?
A cell stored at low charge for extended periods can drop below 2.5V, which triggers BMS lockout — the protection circuit disconnects the cell to prevent damage and the phone reads as completely dead. Connect the Fizz to a wall charger (not a PC USB port) and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage climbs above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.8–3.0V, after which the phone will boot normally.
Fast charging stopped working after I fitted the new battery — the Fizz only charges slowly now.
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the Wiko Fizz charge IC runs a validation handshake before it accepts higher current from a fast-charge source. If that handshake doesn't complete cleanly — usually because the fuel gauge IC has no data on the new cell yet — the IC defaults to standard 5V/1A charging as a safety fallback. Complete one full slow charge cycle from near-empty to 100%, then reconnect your fast charger. The IC renegotiates the charge profile once it has baseline cell data, and fast charging resumes at the correct rate.
The Fizz gets noticeably warm near the battery compartment during the first few charges — is that normal?
A new Li-ion cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC pushes slightly more voltage across the cell resistance during the first few cycles, generating more heat than usual. This is expected behaviour for the first two to three charge cycles and reduces as the cell's impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch — not just warm — or the back panel feels uncomfortable to hold, stop charging and let the device cool to room temperature before resuming. After the third full cycle, heat during charging should return to the same level as the original battery.
