Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU C6 — 3.8V Li-Polymer 2500mAh Replacement Battery (C766243250L)
This 3.8V Li-Polymer battery replaces the original cell in the BLU C6 smartphone (model C0090P). It carries a 2500mAh / 9.5Wh capacity — matching the factory spec. Fit confirmed for the C6 platform against OEM part number C766243250L.
- C6 / C0090P platform fit: Both model numbers share the same physical footprint (76.50 × 62.00 × 5.00mm), connector pin-out, and BMS voltage thresholds — a single cell revision covers both variants without adapter or modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran a full charge-discharge cycle on the BLU C6 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.35V, and low-voltage cutoff engaged at 3.0V as expected for a Li-Polymer cell in this voltage class.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. This gives the fuel gauge IC one clean cycle to map the new cell's discharge curve before fast-charge current is applied to an uncalibrated cell.
Why the BLU C6 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The BLU C6 uses a coulomb counter that tracks charge in and out relative to a stored discharge curve — one built against the original cell's impedance profile. When a new cell goes in, that curve no longer matches, so the IC reports inaccurate state-of-charge figures, sometimes jumping 10–15% in either direction. The fix is one full discharge-charge cycle with the screen on and mobile data active — real-world load forces the coulomb counter to sample across the full voltage range of the new cell. After that cycle, percentage reporting stabilises. If it doesn't settle within two cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated and the cell voltage reads at least 3.7V at rest.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BLU C6
This is a voltage cliff — not a capacity problem. When the modem transmits or the screen runs at full brightness, instantaneous current draw spikes and pulls the cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold faster than the fuel gauge can track. A new cell can show this on the first few cycles if the fuel gauge IC is still reading from an old discharge map. Run two full discharge-charge cycles to let the IC recalibrate. If shutdowns persist past cycle two, check resting cell voltage with the phone off — it should read above 3.6V; anything below 3.4V at rest indicates a cell quality issue.

Frequently Asked Questions
The BLU C6 shuts off at around 25% battery — why does this keep happening with the new cell?
This is a voltage cliff caused by a spike in current draw — the modem or screen pulls enough current to drop cell voltage below the BMS cutoff before the fuel gauge registers low battery. It happens most often in the first few cycles when the coulomb counter is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. Run two full discharge-charge cycles with mobile data on and the screen active to force the IC to remap against the new cell. If shutdowns continue after two cycles, check resting cell voltage with the phone off — it should sit above 3.6V.
Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery on my BLU C6 — the phone only slow-charges now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, some charge ICs default to a conservative constant-current mode until the BMS confirms cell health across a complete charge cycle. This is the IC protecting an uncalibrated cell, not a faulty battery. Complete one full charge to 100% on a standard charger without interruption. On the next charge cycle, fast charging should re-engage; if it doesn't, test with a second USB cable and a different wall adapter rated for the correct voltage — a degraded cable is a common cause of protocol negotiation failure.
My BLU C6 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it.
A Li-Polymer cell stored without charge can drop below 2.5V, which triggers BMS lockout — the protection circuit disconnects the cell to prevent damage and the phone will not respond to the power button. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 30–45 minutes without pressing anything; the charge IC will slowly push current into the cell to bring it above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once the charging indicator appears on screen, let it charge fully before powering on. If no indicator appears after 60 minutes on the charger, the cell voltage has dropped too low for recovery and the cell should be replaced.
