Fits Emporia Supereasy and SE models replacing OEM part AK-S3M battery pack.
Supplies 3.8V and 2500mAh capacity for full phone runtime between charge cycles.
Connector slides into vertical slot with positive terminal facing upward and locks flush.
We bench-tested this cell on the Supereasy charging circuit — BMS accepted standard 5V input and held voltage flat across discharge.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Emporia Supereasy SE — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AK-S3M)

The AK-S3M is a 3.8V 2500mAh Li-Polymer cell that fits the Emporia Supereasy and SE smartphones. It replaces a failing or depleted original battery when the phone can no longer hold a usable charge. Physical dimensions are 72.00 × 52.00 × 5.30mm — confirm these against your existing cell before fitting.

  • Supereasy and SE coverage: Both the Supereasy and SE variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, so one cell covers both. Voltage rail is 3.8V nominal with the same charge termination threshold across the platform.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the AK-S3M through full charge and load cycles on the Supereasy platform. The BMS accepted charge termination correctly and protection circuits triggered at expected voltage floor without nuisance cutoffs.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting, disable any fast-charge mode and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes amps into an uncalibrated register.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Supereasy after a cell swap

A fresh Li-Polymer cell has a steeper voltage cliff than a worn original, meaning the phone's modem or display draws enough current to collapse the cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold — even when the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's internal resistance profile, so it misreads remaining capacity under load. This is not a faulty battery. One full discharge-charge cycle without fast charging resets the coulomb counter against the actual new cell curve. After that cycle, the shutdown threshold should align correctly with real remaining capacity.

Phone will not power on after the AK-S3M sat in storage

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge slowly in storage. If the replacement cell drops below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout mode and will not pass current to the phone — the device appears completely dead. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without attempting to power it on. Most BMS circuits include a trickle pre-charge path that slowly raises cell voltage back above the 2.7V recovery threshold before unlocking full charge current. If the charge indicator light does not appear within 30 minutes, check the charging cable and port before assuming a cell fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Emporia Supereasy shows the wrong battery percentage after fitting the new AK-S3M — the number jumps around and doesn't match actual charge level. What's happening?

The fuel gauge IC inside the Supereasy calibrated its discharge curve against the old cell's internal resistance — that profile does not match the new AK-S3M. Until the IC remaps itself, the coulomb counter reports values based on stale data, which causes erratic or inaccurate percentage readings. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% at standard speed with fast charging turned off. After that single cycle the fuel gauge locks onto the new cell's actual curve and percentage readings stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery on my Supereasy SE — it only charges slowly now. Is the new cell the problem?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the Supereasy sometimes does not negotiate the higher-current charging protocol until the BMS has completed at least one standard charge cycle. The new cell also starts with higher impedance than a conditioned cell, and the charge controller steps down current as a precaution. Charge the phone once at standard speed to full capacity, then let it discharge naturally. Fast charging typically re-negotiates correctly on the second cycle once the BMS has confirmed cell health parameters.

The Emporia Supereasy feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new AK-S3M. Should I be concerned?

Mild warmth during the first few charge cycles on a fresh Li-Polymer cell is expected. A new cell starts with higher internal impedance, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more energy as heat while current flows into an unconditioned cell. The temperature should drop to near-ambient by the second or third charge cycle as impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch — not just warm — or the charging port area gets hot rather than the battery area, check the cable and charger output, as excessive heat from those points indicates a different fault.
