Fits BLU Dash Jr 4.0 K smartphone and replaces original battery part number C785039150J.
3.7V 1500mAh lithium-ion cell restores full charge capacity on this entry-level Android device.
Connector slides into original slot with standard polarity — no locking tab, straight insert orientation.
Bench testing showed clean BMS handshake on first insertion and stable voltage under voice and messaging load.
On first charge after installation, allow one complete discharge-to-shutdown cycle before using fast charging — this recalibrates the fuel gauge IC to the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Dash Jr 4.0 K / D143K — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C785039150J)

This is a 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the BLU Dash Jr 4.0 K (D143K) smartphone. It slots into the original battery bay and restores power to calls, messaging, and apps. Capacity is 1500mAh (5.55Wh), matching the OEM cell specification.

  • Dash Jr 4.0 K / D143K fit: Both model numbers reference the same hardware platform — same battery bay dimensions (77.95 × 49.88 × 4.00mm), same 3.7V voltage rail, and the same connector pinout. One cell covers both designations.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran charge and discharge cycles through a full charge sequence and confirmed the BMS accepted charge current without tripping overcurrent protection. Charge termination voltage held at the correct 4.2V cutoff.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installing this cell, run one complete discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This gives the phone's fuel gauge IC a full reference curve on the new cell before normal use begins. Skip this step and the percentage readout may drift by 10–15%.

Why the Dash Jr 4.0 K reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The D143K uses a coulomb-counter-based fuel gauge IC that builds its discharge model against the cell it last fully cycled. When you install a new cell, the IC still references the old degraded cell's curve — so the percentage it shows can be off by 10–20% in either direction. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full charge. After that single reference cycle, the IC locks onto the new cell's actual capacity and percentage accuracy returns to normal.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't recalibrated and the phone's displayed percentage no longer matches the cell's real state of charge. Under modem or screen load, voltage drops sharply below the 3.4V protection threshold — triggering an emergency shutdown even though the display still showed charge remaining. It's not a faulty cell; it's a calibration mismatch. Run one full discharge-charge cycle and the shutdown point will align with the true low-voltage cutoff near 3.2–3.4V.

Frequently Asked Questions

The phone shuts off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is something wrong with the cell?

Nothing is wrong with the cell itself. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old battery's discharge curve, so the percentage on screen no longer matches the cell's real voltage. Under modem or display load, voltage drops below 3.4V and the protection circuit cuts power before the gauge hits zero. Run one full discharge to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — after that single cycle the shutdown point will track the correct low-voltage threshold.

My BLU Dash Jr 4.0 K won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it.

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below roughly 2.5V the BMS has entered lockout mode to prevent damage — it will refuse to accept a normal charge. Plug the phone into a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button; most chargers will trickle a small current into a locked-out BMS to bring the cell voltage back above the 2.5V recovery threshold. Once the phone shows a charging indicator, let it reach at least 10% before powering on.

Fast charging stopped working on the Dash Jr 4.0 K after I swapped the battery — the phone charges slowly now.

On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes defaults to a conservative constant-current rate while it assesses the new cell's impedance. A new cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in one, and some charge controllers interpret that as a signal to back off current. Charge the phone fully once at the slow rate, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — on the second cycle the IC typically steps up to its normal charge current as impedance settles.
