Fits Koobee S3, S100, and M100 smartphones; replaces OEM battery part number BL-61CT.
3.8V, 2000mAh lithium-ion cell delivers the original capacity your phone shipped with.
Connector type matches the original contact layout; no adapter needed for physical installation.
We bench-tested this cell on the S3 platform — BMS initialized on first charge cycle without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

KOOBEE S3 / S100 / M100 — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BL-61CT)

This is a 3.8V, 2000mAh Li-ion battery rated at 7.6Wh, carrying OEM part number BL-61CT. It fits the KOOBEE S3, S100, and M100 smartphones. These three models share the same battery bay dimensions and connector, so one cell covers all three.

  • S3, S100, and M100 compatibility: All three models use the same physical footprint — 75.43 × 54.94 × 3.95 mm — the same flex connector pinout, and the same BMS handshake protocol. One replacement cell works across the entire range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran BL-61CT cells through charge and discharge cycles on compatible hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without triggering fault flags, and the charge IC brought voltage up from rest to full-charge termination without cutoff interruption.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state register.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BL-61CT replacement cell

An aged original cell loses capacity gradually, and the fuel gauge IC calibrates its percentage readings to that degraded curve. When a fresh 2000mAh cell goes in, the IC still references the old curve. Under modem transmission or screen-on load, the phone hits a voltage cliff the IC did not anticipate and cuts power. One full uninterrupted discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full charge corrects the coulomb counter reference. After that cycle, shutdowns at 20–30% should stop.

Device will not power on after BL-61CT sat discharged in storage

Li-ion cells discharged below 2.5V per cell trigger a BMS lockout — the protection circuit opens and the phone sees no voltage at all. Plugging in a standard charger does nothing because the charge IC needs a minimum rail voltage to start. Connect to a wall adapter rated at 5V/1A and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC will trickle current through the BMS lockout threshold. Once cell voltage recovers above 2.7V, the BMS resets and normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My KOOBEE S3 shows 25% battery and then just cuts off with no warning — is the new cell faulty?

The cell itself is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC learned its discharge curve from the old, degraded cell and still uses that reference. When the fresh BL-61CT hits a load spike from the modem or display, voltage drops faster than the IC predicted and the phone shuts down. Run one full cycle — discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — and the coulomb counter resets to the new cell's actual curve. After that single cycle, the early shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage on my S3 is jumping around after I fitted the replacement — it went from 60% to 45% in two minutes without me doing anything.

That erratic jumping is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against a cell it has never seen before. The IC uses stored discharge data from the previous cell to estimate state of charge, and the new cell's impedance profile does not match. It will stabilise after one complete discharge-to-shutdown and full recharge cycle. Do not interrupt that cycle — partial charges extend the recalibration period and the percentages will keep jumping until the IC has a clean reference dataset.

Fast charging stopped working on my KOOBEE S3 after I put in the BL-61CT — it only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC often falls back to standard 5V/1A charging because the proprietary protocol handshake is not confirmed until the BMS has completed at least one full charge termination. The phone is protecting an uncalibrated cell from high-current input. Let the battery complete one full charge on slow charge without interrupting it. On the next charge session, plug in the same fast charger and the handshake should re-establish at the higher current rate.
