Fits MeiZu MX5 Pro, NIUX, M576, M576U smartphones; replaces OEM battery part number BT56.
3.8V at 3000mAh delivers the voltage and capacity the MX5 Pro firmware expects for accurate fuel gauge reporting and safe load management.
Connector is a two-pin JST-type solder pad on the logic board with no locking tab — orientation must match original polarity exactly.
We bench tested this cell against a discharged OEM pack; the BMS accepted the new Li-Polymer without cutoff errors and held voltage through a full discharge cycle.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

MeiZu MX5 Pro / NIUX Series — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BT56)

This is a 3000mAh 3.8V Li-Polymer replacement cell for the MeiZu MX5 Pro, NIUX, M576, and M576U smartphones. It replaces OEM part number BT56 when the original cell has degraded, fails to hold charge, or causes unexpected shutdowns. Capacity is 11.4Wh — matching the original cell spec.

  • MX5 Pro / NIUX platform fit: The M576 and M576U share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake as the MX5 Pro and NIUX. All four models accept the BT56 cell without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on an M576 board. The BMS accepted the cell on first connection, protection thresholds triggered correctly at low voltage, and the fuel gauge IC began tracking state of charge within one full cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard current. The MX5 Pro's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to your old cell's discharge curve — giving it one clean cycle against the new cell prevents erratic percentage readings and early-shutdown errors before fast charging pushes high current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the MX5 Pro after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff problem, not a capacity problem. Under heavy modem activity or screen-on load, the new cell's voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC predicts — because the IC is still running the discharge model from the degraded original cell. When the voltage dips below the protection threshold, the BMS cuts power even though the percentage display reads higher. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard current forces the coulomb counter to rebuild its model against the actual new cell curve. After that cycle, shutdowns at 20–30% should stop.

MeiZu MX5 Pro not powering on after the battery sat discharged in storage

Li-Polymer cells in storage self-discharge over weeks. If the cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout to prevent damage and blocks normal charging. The phone will show nothing on screen and will not respond to the power button. To recover it, connect a known-good charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to boot — this lets the charge IC trickle current into the cell until it clears the BMS lockout threshold. Once the cell reaches around 3.0V, the BMS re-initialises and normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MeiZu MX5 Pro keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in this new battery — is something wrong with the cell?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC on the MX5 Pro is still running the discharge model it built from your old degraded battery, so it misreads the new cell's voltage curve under load and triggers a BMS cutoff early. Run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge fully to 100% at standard speed with fast charging disabled. After that single recalibration cycle, the coulomb counter updates its model and the premature shutdowns stop.

The MX5 Pro's battery percentage jumps around erratically — it reads 60%, then suddenly drops to 35% with no warning.

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating after a cell swap. The coulomb counter lost its reference point when the old cell was removed and is interpolating state of charge from incomplete data on the new cell. It cannot do this accurately until it has logged at least one full discharge-charge cycle. Disable fast charging, drain the phone completely until it powers off on its own, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — after that cycle the percentage readings stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on my MX5 Pro right after I replaced the battery — the phone only charges slowly now.

This is normal on the first cycle after a cell swap. The MX5 Pro's charge IC applies a conservative current profile when it detects a new or uncalibrated cell — proprietary fast-charge protocols require the BMS to confirm cell impedance is within expected range before unlocking higher current. Charge the phone once at standard speed through a full cycle to let the BMS characterise the new cell. After that first complete charge, reconnect your fast charger and the higher-current profile should re-engage automatically.
