Fits Lenovo Lemon 3, Lemon 3 Dual SIM, K32C36 models; replaces OEM BL259 battery.
3.8V, 2700mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers the original capacity this phone requires.
Connector slides straight down into the battery bay with no locking tabs or clips.
We bench-tested this cell in a Lemon 3 TD-LTE; the BMS accepted the pack on first insertion and charged to full without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging runs against an uncalibrated cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo Lemon 3 / K32C36 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL259)

This is a 3.8V, 2700mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Lenovo Lemon 3, Lemon 3 Dual SIM TD-LTE, and K32C36 smartphones. It uses OEM part number BL259 and fits the standard battery bay without modification. Swap it in when the original cell can no longer hold a charge through a normal day of use.

  • Lemon 3 / K32C36 platform fit: These three models share the same physical footprint, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, which is why a single BL259 cell covers all of them. Voltage tolerance on the charge IC is identical across the range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the K32C36 board. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge IC ramped current correctly from trickle to CC/CV without thermal cutoff.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated reference.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BL259 replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC still references the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under modem or display load — actual cell voltage drops below the SoC cutoff threshold even though the percentage shown is still in the 20–30% range. The phone interprets that voltage drop as a fault and shuts down to protect the board. One full discharge-charge cycle without fast charging resets the coulomb counter and corrects the mismatch.

Phone won't power on after the BL259 sat in storage

Lithium-polymer cells self-discharge in storage. If the cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks charging to prevent damage. The phone will appear completely dead — no charge indicator, no vibration on cable connection. Connect to a wall adapter rated at 5V/1A and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on; the charge IC runs a trickle pre-charge below 3.0V to recover the cell before entering normal CC/CV charging.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Lenovo Lemon 3 shows the wrong battery percentage after fitting the new BL259 — it jumped from 40% to 5% with no warning. What's happening?

The fuel gauge IC on the K32C36 board is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. When the new cell's voltage response doesn't match that stored curve, the coulomb counter reports incorrect state-of-charge — often dropping suddenly when load spikes under the screen or modem. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging disabled. After that single cycle, the IC recalibrates and percentage readings stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on my Lemon 3 after I put in the replacement battery — it only charges slowly now. Is the new cell the problem?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC may not immediately accept the higher current rate while the BMS on the new cell negotiates its thermal and voltage limits. This is normal behaviour, not a fault. Charge the phone once to 100% on standard 5V/1A, then disconnect and reconnect using your fast charger — most users see the fast charge protocol re-engage on the second connection once the BMS has completed its initial handshake.

The Lemon 3 feels warm near the battery area while charging the new BL259 cell. Should I be worried?

A new lithium-polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more energy as heat during the first few cycles. Surface warmth — not hot to the touch — is expected and reduces as the cell impedance drops over the first three to five charge cycles. If the phone becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, disconnect immediately and check that the charge IC is not stuck in a continuous trickle loop by confirming the voltage reads above 3.6V after 30 minutes on charge.
