Fits Oppo A33, A33w, A33c, A33t and replaces BLP605 battery pack.
3.8V at 2400mAh capacity sustains calls, messaging, and apps on this mid-range Android phone.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with no locking tab—orientation matters on contact alignment.
We cycled this Li-Polymer cell on bench; BMS accepted charge without fault codes and voltage held steady under load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one full discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates to this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Oppo A33 Series — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP605)

This is a 3.8V, 2400mAh (9.12Wh) Li-Polymer cell built to the BLP605 specification. It fits the Oppo A33, A33w, A33c, and A33t, along with ten additional A33-series variants. The battery restores full electrical function for calls, messaging, and daily app use.

  • A33-series compatibility: Oppo spread the A33 lineup across multiple regional variants — A33w (WCDMA), A33c (CDMA), A33t (TD-SCDMA) — but all share the same 3.8V BLP605 cell, connector pitch, and protection circuit pinout. One cell covers the full range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran BLP605 cells on an A33 mainboard and monitored the BMS handshake through the full charge cycle. The protection circuit responded correctly to charge termination at 4.35V and triggered undervoltage lockout at 3.0V without fault codes.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This gives the fuel gauge IC accurate data points at both ends of the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins pushing current into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BLP605 replacement cell

The A33 fuel gauge IC carries calibration data from the old, degraded cell. When a fresh BLP605 goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity relationship. Near 20–30%, the real cell voltage drops under modem or screen load faster than the gauge predicts, and the system hits the hardware undervoltage floor before the OS registers 0%. One full slow discharge-charge cycle rewrites the coulomb counter's reference points and clears the early shutdown behaviour.

Phone warm near the battery during the first few charges after swap

A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a well-cycled one. The A33 charge IC applies the same current profile it used on the broken cell, and that current through higher impedance produces more heat. This is normal for the first three to five cycles as the cell's internal resistance drops. If the phone exceeds warm-to-the-touch or the charge IC triggers thermal rollback after cycle five, check that the adhesive pad behind the cell is seated flat — an air gap concentrates heat at one point rather than spreading it across the back cover.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Oppo A33 shuts off at around 25% after putting in the new BLP605 — is the battery faulty?

The battery is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the A33 mainboard is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it misjudges the voltage floor on the new cell. Under modem or display load, the real terminal voltage drops below the hardware cutoff before the OS reads 0%. Run one full discharge — use the phone until it shuts itself off — then charge to 100% at the standard rate without fast charging enabled. That single cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter against the new BLP605 curve and clears the early shutdown.

The A33 won't turn on at all after the replacement BLP605 sat in storage for a few months before I installed it — what do I do?

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the BLP605 dropped below 2.5V per cell, the BMS has entered deep-discharge lockout to prevent cell damage. The phone will not respond to the power button or show a charging screen at first. Connect it to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything — the charge IC will trickle current into the cell below 3.0V until the BMS re-initialises. Once the terminal voltage climbs above 3.0V, the protection circuit releases and the phone will boot or show the charging indicator normally.

The battery percentage on my A33 jumps around erratically — sometimes dropping 10% in seconds, then jumping back up — after fitting the BLP605.

Erratic percentage jumps are a fuel gauge IC symptom, not a cell defect. The A33 uses a coulomb counter that tracks charge in and out, but after a cell swap it has no valid baseline for the new cell's actual capacity. It fills in gaps with voltage-based estimates, which are noisy under variable loads like the modem switching between bands. Complete two full slow-rate discharge-charge cycles — keep the phone off fast charging during both — and the gauge will accumulate enough real data to stop bridging with voltage guesses. After cycle two, percentage reporting stabilises to within a few percent.
