Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo IQOO Z1x 5G — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-N6)
This is a 3.85V, 4850mAh (18.67Wh) lithium-polymer replacement cell for the Vivo IQOO Z1x 5G smartphone, covering model numbers V2012A and V2012. It uses OEM part number B-N6 and matches the original cell's dimensions at 87.70 × 63.70 × 5.00mm. Swap this in when the original cell no longer holds charge through a normal day.
- IQOO Z1x 5G platform fit: The V2012 and V2012A share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — one cell covers both variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the IQOO Z1x 5G platform. The BMS handshake completed correctly, charge current stepped down as expected at the CV phase, and no thermal flags were triggered at the charge IC.
- First-cycle fuel gauge calibration: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the system pushes high-current fast charge into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens because the fuel gauge IC was calibrated against the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits its voltage cliff at a different state of charge, and the system cuts out before the reported percentage reaches zero. The processor and 5G modem together pull enough current during peak load to cause a voltage sag the gauge did not anticipate. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — the coulomb counter resets and the shutdowns stop.
USB-PD fast charge not accepted on the first cycle after swap
On the first charge after installation, the phone may negotiate only standard 5V charging rather than the higher-voltage fast charge profile. The charge IC defaults to a conservative current limit when it cannot verify the new cell's impedance profile. This is normal BMS behaviour on a fresh cell — it is not a fault with the battery or charger. Complete one full charge at standard current, disconnect, and reconnect the fast charger; the protocol handshake will complete correctly at 3.85V nominal cell voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions
My IQOO Z1x 5G shows the battery percentage jumping around erratically after I put in the new cell — is something wrong with it?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve from the old battery, so it cannot accurately track the new cell's state of charge. The percentage will stabilise after one full discharge-charge cycle at standard current, which forces the coulomb counter to recalibrate against the actual B-N6 cell. Do not interrupt that first cycle — let it run from full charge down to automatic shutdown and back to 100%.
The phone gets noticeably warm near the battery for the first few charges — should I be concerned?
Mild warmth on the first few charge cycles is expected with a new high-impedance cell. A fresh lithium-polymer cell has higher internal resistance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more energy as heat during the CC phase. We measured surface temperatures on our bench unit within normal limits — no thermal flags were triggered. If warmth persists beyond the third full cycle or the phone becomes hot to the touch, check that the charge IC is not stuck in fast-charge mode by disabling fast charging in the battery settings and restarting the phone.
The phone will not power on at all after the replacement battery sat unused for several weeks — how do I recover it?
If the cell voltage dropped below approximately 2.5V during storage, the BMS enters a lockout state and the phone will not respond to a normal charge attempt. Connect the phone to a wall adapter — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes without pressing any buttons. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell at low current to bring it back above the BMS re-enable threshold of around 3.0V, after which normal charging resumes automatically.
