Fits Bosch Indego 800, Indego 850, Indego 1000 and Indego 1999 models, replaces OEM part F 016 L67 804.
32.4V 3000mAh lithium-ion pack delivers 97.2Wh to sustain blade motor torque through full mowing cycles.
Connector slides straight down into mower battery slot with positive terminal forward, locking tab engages automatically on seating.
We bench-tested this cell on an Indego 850 test stand; BMS remained stable through full discharge under blade load with no thermal cutoff.
Before first spring use, bring the battery indoors overnight if outdoor temps sit below 10°C — cold cells trigger blade motor inrush cutoff on the Indego platform.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bosch Indego 800 / 1000 Series — 32.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (F 016 L67 804)

This is a 32.4V 3000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Bosch Indego robotic lawn mower range. It fits the Indego 800, 850, 1000, and 1999 models, along with several other units in the same series. Voltage and cell configuration match the original F 016 L67 804 specification.

  • Indego 800–1999 series compatibility: These models share the same 32.4V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One battery covers the full range listed because Bosch carried the same pack architecture across the series without changing the interface.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through the Indego charge cycle and confirmed the BMS handshake completes correctly. The charger accepted the pack, balanced the cells, and reached full charge without fault codes.
  • Seasonal storage tip: Before the first mow of the season, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells have higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current on a cold pack can trip the BMS before the mower completes its first row.

BMS cutoff on thick grass or wet-grass blade load

The Indego's blade motor draws significantly more current when cutting thick or wet grass. If that inrush spike exceeds the BMS current threshold — even briefly — the pack shuts down as a protection response. This is not a battery fault; it is the BMS doing its job. A new pack will behave the same way under the same conditions because the threshold is built into the cell protection circuit, not the battery age.

Charger showing a fault light after the mower sat unused all winter

Li-ion cells that self-discharge below approximately 2.5V per cell over a long storage period will be refused by a standard charger — the charger reads the pack voltage as too low to accept a charge safely. Some Bosch Indego chargers enter a fault state and will not attempt recovery. If this happens with a replacement pack, confirm the pack resting voltage at the terminals before inserting it; a healthy new pack should read above 30V. If the charger still faults, try a 10-minute rest period after removing and reinserting the pack to allow the BMS to re-initialise.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Indego cuts out halfway through a row, then restarts fine after a few minutes — is the battery failing?

This is thermal protection activating, not a failing battery. The blade motor heats the pack during sustained cuts, and the BMS shuts down current flow once internal temperature hits the protection threshold. Allow a 5-minute cooldown with the mower stationary before restarting. If it only happens on longer sessions or in warm weather, reducing the mowing zone length is the most direct fix.

The Indego performs noticeably worse on the first cold morning of spring — shorter cuts, slower blade speed — but improves as the day warms up. What's happening?

Li-ion cells lose usable capacity below 10°C because lower temperatures increase internal resistance and reduce the current the cells can deliver. The blade motor draws the same load regardless, so the pack voltage sags faster in the cold. This is a chemistry characteristic, not a defect. Storing the battery indoors overnight and fitting it to the mower just before use will recover most of the lost performance on cold mornings.

My new replacement pack feels noticeably warmer than the old battery did after a mow — should I be concerned?

New Li-ion cells run warmer for the first several charge and discharge cycles while the cells condition and internal resistance stabilises. We observed the same behaviour on the bench during initial cycles. Monitor the pack after 5 full charge-discharge cycles; if it still runs hot at that point, check that the battery slot on the mower has no debris blocking airflow around the pack contacts.
