Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Budget Mobile MXW1 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (HYB201307)
This is a 3.7V, 1150mAh Li-ion cell built to replace the original HYB201307 battery in the Budget Mobile MXW1 smartphone. It fits the MXW1 directly — same connector, same form factor at 64.20 x 50.00 x 4.50mm. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly.
- MXW1 fitment: The MXW1 uses a fixed connector pinout tied to the HYB201307 spec. This cell matches that pinout and the BMS handshake voltage thresholds the phone expects, so the OS reads charge state correctly after calibration.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the MXW1 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without a protection-trip fault, and the fuel gauge IC registered state-of-charge within normal tolerance after one full cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the MXW1 after a cell swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve it learned from the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage drop under load — modem activity and screen-on state both draw peak current that the old curve didn't account for. When voltage sags briefly under that load, the phone hits its hardware cutoff threshold even though the displayed percentage reads higher. One full discharge-charge cycle with fast charging off resets the coulomb counter and eliminates the cliff.
MXW1 not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the cell dropped below 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent damage and the phone won't respond to a normal boot attempt. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC on the MXW1 can trickle current into a locked-out cell at around 100mA to bring it back above the 2.5V threshold, after which the BMS releases and normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my Budget Mobile MXW1 showing the wrong battery percentage after fitting the new HYB201307 cell?
The fuel gauge IC inside the MXW1 stores a discharge curve learned from the old cell — it doesn't automatically map to the new cell's characteristics. Until it recalibrates, the percentage reading will be off, sometimes by 10–20%. Run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging disabled. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets to the new cell's curve and the percentage reads accurately.
The MXW1 feels warm near the battery during the first few charges after replacement — is something wrong?
A new cell typically has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. The charge IC on the MXW1 pushes current into that higher impedance, and some of that energy converts to heat rather than stored charge. This is normal for the first two or three cycles and settles as the cell breaks in. If the back of the phone stays hot after three full cycles, check that no adhesive from installation is trapping heat against the battery — remove any excess and confirm the cell sits flush in the bay.
Fast charging stopped working on my MXW1 after I installed the replacement battery — what's going on?
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the MXW1's charge controller sometimes won't negotiate the fast-charge protocol until it confirms the BMS on the new cell is responding correctly. Plug in with a standard 5V charger first and let it complete one full charge cycle. After that, reconnect with your fast-charge adapter — the controller renegotiates the protocol once it has logged a complete cycle against the new cell's BMS response.
