This is a 3.7V, 1150mAh Li-ion battery for the UMX MXW1 smartphone. It replaces OEM part HYB201307 when the original cell degrades or fails. The battery slots into the MXW1 and restores normal device function including calls, messaging, and apps.

  • MXW1 fit and connector match: The MXW1 runs a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion architecture with a low-current BMS handshake. This replacement cell matches that voltage rail and connector pinout exactly — the phone's charge IC sees it the same way it saw the factory cell.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the MXW1 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without triggering protection cutoff, and the charge IC completed a full cycle without thermal fault.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter to the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.

Why the MXW1 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The MXW1's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry, so the percentage reading drifts. The IC reports numbers based on old data until it relearns. One full discharge down to auto-shutdown followed by a full charge to 100% forces the coulomb counter to reset against the new cell. After that cycle, percentage accuracy returns to normal.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the MXW1 after replacement

This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't finished recalibrating and the cell voltage drops sharply under modem or screen load — a voltage cliff the old curve didn't predict. The phone's low-voltage protection fires before the displayed percentage reaches zero. It's not a faulty cell. Run one full uninterrupted discharge-charge cycle and the IC recalibrates its cutoff threshold. If shutdowns persist past two full cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a loose pin causes voltage sag under load and triggers the same protection at around 3.4V.

My MXW1 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is it dead?

Most likely the cell discharged below the BMS lockout threshold, which sits around 2.5V per cell. At that voltage, the BMS cuts all output to prevent cell damage and the phone shows nothing when you press power. Plug it into a wall charger — not a computer USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage rises above the BMS re-enable threshold, at which point the phone should show a charging indicator.

Fast charging stopped working on my MXW1 right after I installed this battery — was it working before?

Fast charge protocols require a BMS handshake on the first cycle with a new cell. Until that handshake completes, the charge IC defaults to standard 5V charging as a safeguard. This is normal behaviour on the first charge after a cell swap. Run one full charge cycle at standard speed and fast charging will re-enable on the next session once the BMS has confirmed cell impedance is within the expected range.

The MXW1 battery percentage jumps around erratically — drops 15% in seconds then climbs back up.

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve — it hasn't finished building an accurate model yet. The IC is pulling stored data from the old cell, which doesn't match the new cell's voltage response at different load levels. Run two complete discharge-charge cycles without interrupting either one. After the second full cycle, the counter stabilises and the percentage reading tracks smoothly down from 100% to shutdown.
