This is a 14.4V, 4000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Carneo 400 and SC400 cordless vacuum cleaners. It slots into the battery housing and restores full motor voltage when the original cell can no longer hold a usable charge. Capacity is rated at 57.6Wh — matching the original specification.

• Carneo 400 and SC400 fit: Both models share the same 14.4V motor rail, battery housing dimensions, and connector orientation. A single cell covers both variants without modification.

Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low

Ni-MH cells lose voltage under load before the indicator circuit registers a low reading. On the Carneo 400, the motor needs a stable 14.4V rail to maintain suction pressure. As the cell ages and internal resistance rises, voltage sags under the draw of a spinning motor — even when the indicator still shows charge remaining. A fresh cell with low internal resistance eliminates this sag and restores consistent suction through the full discharge cycle.

Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a motor fault. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws harder to maintain airflow — current spikes past the BMS cutoff threshold, and the vacuum shuts off. After a short rest the BMS resets and the unit powers back on. Clean or replace the filter first. If cut-outs continue after clearing the filter, the existing cell's internal resistance is amplifying the current spike — replacement brings current draw back within the BMS window.
