Fits Casio IT3000, IT2000, and IT-2000D series scanners; replaces OEM part numbers DT-9023, DT-9723, DT-9023LI, DT-9723LI, and DT-9723LIC.
7.4V Li-ion pack delivers 3400mAh capacity for full-shift barcode scanning without mid-route battery swaps on retail and warehouse routes.
Connector seats flat into the scanner slot with a vertical orientation lock tab that indexes left and prevents sideways insertion errors.
We bench-tested this cell in an IT3000 cradle; the BMS accepted charge current without fault codes and held voltage stable across rapid trigger cycles.
Before running your first pick-and-pack shift, seat this pack in the cradle for a full charge cycle — the scan trigger draws peak inrush current when cells near minimum, and a pre-charged pack prevents false BMS shutdowns on opening shift.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Casio IT3000 / IT2000 Series — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (DT-9023)

This is a 7.4V, 3400mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Casio IT3000 and IT2000 series handheld barcode scanners. It replaces OEM part numbers DT-9023, DT-9723, DT-9023LI, DT-9723LI, and DT-9723LIC. If your scanning sessions are cutting short or the original pack no longer holds charge, this is the direct swap.

  • IT3000 and IT2000 platform fit: Both series run the same 7.4V battery rail, share the same connector footprint, and use the same BMS handshake protocol. One pack covers both platforms without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated scan-trigger and wireless polling loads. The BMS handled inrush current on rapid scan bursts without tripping, and cell voltage held stable across the discharge curve.
  • First-shift charging tip: After installing, seat the scanner in its cradle and run a full charge cycle before starting pick-and-pack. Scan trigger inrush is highest when the cell is near minimum — a fully charged pack prevents false BMS trips during the first shift.

Cradle showing a charging error on a new pack

A charging error on a freshly installed pack almost always comes down to contact resistance at the dock, not a fault in the battery itself. Dust, oxidation, or residue on the pack's gold contacts interrupts the charge handshake before it completes. Wipe the contacts on both the pack and the cradle with a dry cloth, then reseat the scanner firmly. If the error clears within 30 seconds, the contacts were the issue — not the cell.

Scanner losing wireless connection during rapid scan bursts

The IT3000 draws from the same battery simultaneously for the scan trigger and the wireless radio. During rapid-burst scanning, the combined inrush can cause a momentary voltage sag that drops the radio below its minimum operating threshold. This shows up as a dropped connection mid-session, often misread as a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth fault. If it happens repeatedly, check pack voltage under load — a cell holding below 6.8V during burst draw needs replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

My IT3000 scanner stopped reading barcodes right after I put in the new battery — what's wrong?

The imager or laser in the IT3000 needs the battery at a sufficient charge level to deliver enough power for a clean read. A new pack shipped in a partially discharged state can sit just below that threshold. Place the scanner in the cradle and complete a full charge cycle before scanning. Once the pack is fully charged, the read function should restore immediately.

The scanner feels noticeably warm after a long shift — is that a battery problem?

Warmth after an extended shift is normal in an enclosed housing like the IT3000, where sustained scan draw and wireless polling both generate heat with nowhere to dissipate quickly. The concern is if the pack itself is hot to the touch at the battery door. That points to a cell under stress — check that the cradle contacts are clean and that the pack seated fully, since a poor contact forces higher resistance and more heat. If the housing stays comfortably warm but not hot, the pack is operating within range.

My new battery doesn't last as long as the original did when it was new — is the capacity lower?

This pack is rated at 3400mAh, which matches or exceeds the OEM specification. Shorter shift endurance on a new pack usually comes from one of two sources: the pack hasn't been through its first full charge cycle yet, or scan burst frequency and wireless polling have increased since the original was new. Run two full charge-and-discharge cycles in normal use. If endurance is still noticeably short after that, check wireless polling intervals in the device settings — tighter polling intervals increase draw significantly.
