Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cecotec Conga 5090 / 6090 / 7090 Series — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (MH1-4S2P-300S)
This is a 14.8V 6700mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Cecotec Conga robotic vacuum range. It fits the Conga 5090, 5490, 6090, and 7090 models. The OEM part number is MH1-4S2P-300S.
- Conga 5090, 5490, 6090, and 7090 compatibility: These four models share the same 14.8V battery platform, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. One cell pack covers all four without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through charge and discharge cycles on the Conga platform. The BMS negotiated correctly with the charger, protection thresholds triggered at expected voltages, and cell balancing completed across all four series cells.
- Dock charging habit on robotic vacuums: Do not leave the Conga sitting on its charging dock permanently between cleaning sessions. Robotic vacuums on continuous dock charge accumulate trickle-charge stress that degrades cell capacity faster than normal cycle use. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next scheduled run.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the Conga 5090
The Conga's motor controller monitors pack voltage continuously. When a degraded cell causes pack voltage to sag under load — even while the indicator still shows charge remaining — the controller reduces motor power to stay within safe operating limits. This is not a sensor fault; it is the BMS responding to real voltage drop under the suction motor's draw. A fresh 14.8V pack holds voltage more firmly under load, so the motor runs at full speed for the full cleaning cycle. If suction drops early on a new battery, check the filter first — a blocked filter forces the motor to draw harder and triggers the same sag response.
Motor cuts out mid-clean and then restarts on its own
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a mechanical fault. When suction pathways are restricted — clogged filter, tangled brush roll, or blocked inlet — the motor draws sustained current above the BMS trip threshold, and the pack shuts off to protect the cells. The BMS resets automatically once current demand drops, which is why the robot appears to recover on its own. Clear the filter and brush roll, then check that the inlet is unobstructed. If the cutout stops after cleaning those components, the battery and motor are both fine; restricted airflow was the cause.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Conga's suction feels weak even right after a full charge — is the new battery the problem?
A partially blocked filter is the most likely cause. When airflow is restricted, the motor draws above its rated current to compensate, which causes the BMS to reduce power output and makes suction feel weak regardless of battery state. Remove and clean the filter completely, then run a cleaning cycle. If suction restores to normal, the battery is fine — the filter was forcing the motor to work harder than the pack could cleanly support at 14.8V.
The Conga has been sitting on the dock for two weeks and now the battery drains noticeably faster than it did when the replacement was new — what happened?
Continuous dock charging applies a low-level trickle charge to cells that are already full, and Li-ion cells degrade faster under that condition than under normal charge-discharge cycling. Two weeks of uninterrupted dock connection is enough to begin measurable capacity loss. From this point, charge the battery fully, remove the robot from the dock, and only return it when it needs charging. That pattern slows further degradation significantly.
The replacement battery charged to full but the Conga won't turn on — what do I check first?
Check that the battery is fully seated and the connector is fully engaged — a partially connected pack reads as absent to the BMS and the robot will not initialise. If seating is confirmed, the BMS may have entered a deep-discharge lockout state during storage and needs a reset charge. Place the unit on the dock for at least 30 minutes without pressing any buttons, then attempt power-on. The charger's 14.8V input is usually enough to wake a locked-out BMS from standby.
