Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ETA 4228 Navaggio Profi — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (4228 00100)
This 14.4V Li-ion battery replaces the original power cell in the ETA 4228 Navaggio Profi cordless vacuum cleaner. It carries a 6800mAh capacity and matches the OEM part number 4228 00100. The battery fits directly into the Navaggio Profi's battery compartment and communicates with the onboard BMS as the original unit does.
- ETA 4228 Navaggio Profi fit: The Navaggio Profi uses a 14.4V Li-ion pack with a specific BMS handshake tied to part number 4228 00100. This replacement matches that voltage rail, connector pinout, and BMS communication so the vacuum recognises the pack and allows charging and discharge as normal.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the Navaggio Profi platform. The BMS accepted the cell, the charge indicator behaved correctly, and the vacuum reached full operating suction without triggering overcurrent cutoff.
- Dock charging on the Navaggio Profi: Do not leave the Navaggio Profi sitting on its charging dock between uses. Continuous dock contact delivers a trickle charge that accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next use.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator shows low on the Navaggio Profi
The Navaggio Profi's motor draws significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked or the suction path is restricted. Under that extra load, voltage sags at the pack terminals before the fuel gauge registers a low-battery event. The BMS reads the voltage drop as a protection condition and throttles output to the motor. Clean the filter and check for blockages first — if suction restores immediately, the battery is not the cause.
Motor cutting out mid-clean and recovering after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the vacuum's suction path is restricted — typically a clogged filter or blocked nozzle — the motor spins harder and pulls current beyond the BMS trip threshold. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells, then resets after a brief cooldown. Clear the filter and nozzle, then restart the vacuum; if the cutout stops, the pack is functioning correctly and the fault was airflow restriction, not the battery.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Navaggio Profi battery fades noticeably after only a few months — suction drops halfway through a clean even on a fresh charge. What causes that?
Capacity fade this fast is almost always caused by leaving the vacuum on the charging dock continuously between uses. The Navaggio Profi's dock delivers a low-level charge even when the battery is full, and sustained trickle charging degrades Li-ion cells faster than regular charge-and-use cycles. A replacement pack will restore capacity, but the same fade will return if the habit doesn't change. Charge to full, remove from the dock, and only return it when the battery needs charging again.
The Navaggio Profi motor cuts out after about 30 seconds on carpet and then comes back when I wait — is this a battery fault?
That cut-and-recover pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failing battery. Heavy carpet creates a partial blockage in the suction path, which forces the motor to draw more current than the BMS allows, so it shuts the output off temporarily and resets after cooling. Check and clean the filter and inspect the nozzle for hair or debris before assuming the pack is at fault. If the cutout stops after clearing the filter, the battery is fine.
My replacement ETA 4228 00100 battery won't charge — the charger light doesn't respond at all. What should I check?
The Navaggio Profi charger expects a BMS handshake before initiating a charge cycle. If the pack voltage has dropped below roughly 10V from deep discharge during storage, the BMS may not respond and the charger will sit dark. Connect the battery and leave the charger plugged in for 15–20 minutes — some chargers will pulse a recovery charge to bring a deeply discharged pack back above the recognition threshold. If the charger light still does not respond after that period, check the battery terminal contacts for corrosion or misalignment before concluding the pack is faulty.
