2.4V 750mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers full talk time and standby duration on this handset platform.
Battery slides into the handset grip with a flat connector tab; no locking mechanism required.
We bench-tested this cell on a Range base station — BMS accepted voltage immediately, no fault codes.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Ni-MH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cheetah Range E3250 / Easy Touch Series — 2.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This 2.4V 750mAh Ni-MH battery replaces the original rechargeable pack in Cheetah Range cordless handsets including the E3250, Easy Touch 100, Easy Touch 200, and related models. It matches the original voltage and connector footprint so the handset seats and charges in the base as normal. Capacity is 750mAh (1.8Wh) — identical to the factory specification.

  • E3250 and Easy Touch compatibility: These handsets share the same 2.4V two-cell NiMH pack format and base-charging circuit. The replacement matches that voltage rail and physical dimensions (44.07 × 20.35 × 10.58mm), so the base station sees a normal charge profile without triggering fault indicators.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the bench. The NiMH cells reached rated capacity between cycles three and five — consistent with normal NiMH conditioning behaviour on cordless phone handsets.
  • First-charge protocol for NiMH handsets: After installing, seat the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use. NiMH cordless batteries arrive partially discharged from storage and require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity — skipping this step leaves the cells under-conditioned from the start.

Base station charge light not activating on a new NiMH pack

Cheetah Range base stations use a threshold voltage check before enabling the charge circuit. A NiMH pack that has sat in storage can drop low enough that the base rejects it as a fault rather than charging it. Place the handset in the base anyway and leave it for 30 to 60 minutes — most base units will detect a slow voltage rise and begin a normal charge cycle. If the charge light still does not activate after that window, check the handset contacts against the base pins for oxidation and clean with a dry cloth.

Range drops noticeably during calls after replacing the battery

DECT transmit power depends on the handset maintaining stable voltage during RF bursts. When a NiMH pack is under-conditioned or partially discharged, voltage sags under the RF load and the handset pulls back transmit power to protect the circuit. The result is shorter effective range even though the handset appears to be on and functional. Run three to five full charge-and-use cycles to condition the cells — voltage under RF load stabilises once the cells reach rated capacity.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Cheetah Range handset is showing a much shorter talk time than the old battery — is the new pack faulty?

Almost certainly not. NiMH cells in cordless phone batteries ship in a partially discharged state and need three to five full charge-and-use cycles before they reach rated capacity. Talk time on the first and second cycle will be noticeably shorter than the original battery. Run the handset down until the low-battery indicator activates, then return it to the base for a full charge — repeat this cycle three to five times and talk time will normalise at 750mAh.

The handset lost its pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — how do I fix it?

Some DECT handsets store pairing data in volatile memory that clears when power is fully removed. Swapping the battery cuts that power, which causes the handset to drop its registration. Re-register the handset using the base station's paging or registration button — on most Cheetah Range models, hold the button on the base for five seconds until the indicator flashes, then follow the on-handset pairing prompt.

The battery drains overnight even though the handset is sitting in the base — what causes that?

This is a seating issue, not a battery fault. If the handset contacts are not fully aligned with the base charging pins, the charge circuit stays open and the battery continues drawing standby current with no top-up from the base. Remove the handset, check that both contact pads on the handset are clean and unobstructed, then reseat it firmly until the charge indicator activates. If contacts look corroded, wipe them with a dry cloth before reseating.
