This is a 2.4V, 750mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Doro Matra Dunea cordless phone range. It fits the Dunea 160C, 260C, 350C, 360, and eleven additional Dunea handsets. The cell dimensions are 44.07 × 20.35 × 10.58mm — confirm your original matches before ordering.

  • Dunea series compatibility: These Dunea handsets share the same 2.4V dual-cell Ni-MH pack, connector pinout, and charge circuit. Swapping between models in this range does not require any wiring or adapter.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack on a Dunea base station and confirmed the charge circuit accepted it without error. The BMS held the trickle charge correctly once the cells reached full voltage after conditioning cycles.
  • First-charge protocol for Ni-MH cordless packs: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cells shipped in storage state need a slow initial charge to reach rated capacity — a short first charge will underperform for several cycles.

Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement

Ni-MH cells do not deliver rated capacity on the first discharge. New cells typically need three to five full charge-discharge cycles before they reach 750mAh. If talk time feels short in the first week, run the handset down fully and return it to the base each time. By cycle five, capacity should be at or near the rated figure.

Base station shows no charge or error light with new pack installed

Ni-MH packs stored before shipping can drop below 2.0V, which some Dunea base stations will not accept as a valid charge state. Remove the handset, leave it out for 30 seconds, then reseat it firmly — a proper connection resets the base charge controller. If the error persists, check that the handset contacts are clean and making full contact with the cradle pins. The base should begin charging once cell voltage climbs above the acceptance threshold, typically around 2.2V.

My Dunea handset loses range near the edges of the house — it was fine with the old battery. What's causing this?

The Dunea's RF transmit circuit draws a spike of current each time it sends a signal. A new Ni-MH pack that hasn't completed its conditioning cycles can sag below 2.2V under that load, reducing transmit power and cutting range. Run three to five full charge-discharge cycles and the cells will hold voltage more firmly under RF draw. After conditioning, range should return to what you had with the original battery.

The handset unpaired from the base after I swapped the battery — now it won't connect calls.

Some DECT phones lose their pairing data when power is fully interrupted, which happens every time a battery is removed. Re-register the handset by pressing the page or find button on the base station for several seconds until the handset confirms pairing — the exact step is in the Dunea manual under "registering a handset." This is not a battery fault; it's the phone losing its stored DECT link when voltage drops to zero during the swap.

The battery drains completely overnight even when the handset is sitting in the base. Is the new battery faulty?

This points to a seating issue, not a faulty cell. If the handset sits slightly off-centre in the cradle, the charge contacts don't close fully and the base never tops the battery up — standby draw then empties it by morning. Lift the handset out, clean the gold contacts on both the handset and cradle with a dry cloth, then press it firmly back in until it clicks. Confirm the charge indicator light activates; if it does, the circuit is closed and overnight drain will stop.
