Fits Audioline DECT 5015 cordless phone handsets, replaces OEM part BC101276 and 08C/CP18NM battery packs.
2.4V, 750mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers the voltage and capacity this handset requires for standard talk and standby modes.
Connector slides straight into the battery compartment on the handset base; locking tab seats flush when fully inserted.
We bench tested the cell on a DECT 5015 base station — voltage acceptance threshold cleared on first cycle, no charger fault codes.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Audioline DECT 5015 — 2.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (BC101276)

This is a 2.4V, 750mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Audioline DECT 5015 cordless phone handset. It fits the handset battery compartment and restores full cordless operation to units with depleted or failed packs. OEM part numbers BC101276 and 08C/CP18NM both cross-reference to this cell.

  • DECT 5015 handset fit: The DECT 5015 uses a two-cell 2.4V NiMH pack at 750mAh — a common cordless phone configuration where the base station charger circuit expects a specific charge acceptance voltage. Swapping to the correct cell count and chemistry keeps the base charge light behaving normally.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the bench, confirming the BMS and base station handshake. The cells accepted a charge current from a standard DECT base without triggering a fault state, and voltage held stable across the full discharge curve.
  • First charge on NiMH cordless packs: After installing this battery, seat the handset in the base and leave it there for a full 16 hours before using it. NiMH cells stored in low-charge states need a slow, uninterrupted first charge to reach rated capacity — cutting it short delays conditioning and reduces initial talk time.

Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement

NiMH cells leave storage at a partial charge, and the first two to three cycles after installation typically deliver less capacity than rated. The cells need full charge and discharge cycles to reach their electrochemical equilibrium. This is not a fault — it is how NiMH chemistry behaves after a dormant period. By cycles three to five, capacity should be at or near the rated 750mAh.

Base station charge light not coming on after fitting a new pack

DECT base stations check incoming voltage before accepting a charge — if the NiMH pack has dropped below roughly 1.8V total from extended storage, some bases read it as a fault rather than a flat battery. Remove the handset, wait 30 seconds, then re-seat it firmly to reset the charge detect circuit. If the light still does not come on, check that the handset contacts are clean and making full contact with the base cradle pins. A brief wipe of the gold contacts with a dry cloth is enough.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Audioline DECT 5015 handset won't pair with the base after I swapped the battery — what happened?

Some DECT phones lose their pairing data when power is fully removed from the handset. This happens because the handset RAM clears without battery voltage present. Re-register the handset using the pairing button on the base unit — the process takes under a minute and is covered in the DECT 5015 manual. Once paired again, the handset will behave normally.

The DECT 5015 battery drains completely overnight even when it's sitting in the base — is that a battery fault?

Overnight drain in the cradle points to the handset not making proper contact with the base charging pins, not a cell fault. If the handset is even slightly misaligned in the cradle, the charge circuit never activates and the battery runs on standby draw alone. Re-seat the handset so it clicks fully into the base, then check that the charge indicator light comes on. If alignment is confirmed and drain continues, clean the cradle contact pins with a dry cotton swab.

The range on my DECT 5015 dropped noticeably after I installed the new battery — why?

DECT transmit power is drawn directly from the battery during active calls. When a NiMH cell is not yet conditioned, its internal resistance is higher, so voltage sags under the RF load and the handset reduces transmission power to compensate. Run three to five full charge and discharge cycles to condition the cells and lower internal resistance. After conditioning, voltage under load should stabilise above 2.0V and range should return to normal.
