Fits CleanMate RV500 robotic vacuum; replaces OEM part number CL059.
14.4V and 2600mAh delivers full motor torque on carpet and hard floors without voltage sag during navigation cycles.
Single-pin connector seats straight into the battery slot with a quarter-turn locking tab; orientation keyed to prevent reverse insertion.
Bench tested the BMS through five full charge cycles; no early shutoff, no fault codes on the dock charger handshake.
Remove this battery from the charging dock immediately after reaching full charge — continuous dock residence causes trickle-charge damage and capacity fade within weeks on this platform.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

CleanMate RV500 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CL059)

This is a 14.4V, 2600mAh lithium-ion replacement battery for the CleanMate RV500 robotic vacuum cleaner. It powers the drive motors, suction fan, and onboard navigation electronics. OEM part number CL059 matches the original cell specification and connector configuration.

  • RV500 platform fit: The RV500 runs a 14.4V architecture across its motor control board and navigation system. Any cell drop below this nominal rail causes the control board to cut the drive motors before the battery indicator shows low. This battery matches that voltage rail exactly.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the RV500's charge cycle and verified the BMS communicated correctly with the dock charger. Charge acceptance was normal and the protection circuit tripped as expected under overcurrent simulation.
  • Dock charging habit on the RV500: Do not leave the RV500 sitting on the charging dock continuously between cleans. The dock delivers a low trickle current when the cell reads full, and sustained trickle charging degrades lithium-ion cell capacity noticeably over weeks. Charge to full, then remove from dock until the next clean.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the RV500

The RV500's suction fan motor draws its highest current when the filter is partially blocked or airflow is restricted. When the cell voltage sags under that sustained load, the motor controller reduces power before the indicator LED registers a low state. The battery reads fine at rest but cannot hold voltage under real motor load. Clean the filter first — if sag persists with a clean filter, the cell has lost capacity and replacement is the correct step.

RV500 motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a loose connection. When the suction path is restricted — blocked brush roll, full dust bin, or clogged filter — the motor pulls above the cell's continuous current limit and the BMS opens the discharge circuit. The robot pauses, the BMS resets after a few seconds, and the motor restarts. Clear the blockage and empty the bin. If the cutout continues on a clear airflow path, measure resting cell voltage — a healthy cell at partial charge should read above 13.5V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My CleanMate RV500 loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery light still shows full — is the battery the problem?

Not always the battery first. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which causes voltage sag under load even when the cell reads full at rest. Clean or replace the filter and empty the dust bin, then run another clean cycle. If suction still fades with clear airflow, the cell has degraded and can no longer hold voltage under motor load — replacement is the next step.

The RV500 stops mid-clean, pauses for a few seconds, then starts again on its own — what is causing this?

That stop-start behaviour is the BMS tripping on overcurrent, then resetting. It happens when restricted airflow — blocked brush roll, full bin, or clogged filter — forces the motor to pull current above the cell's continuous discharge limit. The BMS cuts the circuit to protect the cell, then reopens after the thermal and current conditions reset. Clear every blockage and retest; if the trip still occurs on a clean, unobstructed robot, check resting cell voltage — it should read above 13.5V between cleans.

I replaced the battery but my RV500 is developing short runtime again after only a few months — what went wrong?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause. When the RV500 sits on the dock between every clean, the charger delivers a sustained low-level current to a cell that is already full, and lithium-ion cells degrade measurably faster under that condition. Charge the battery to full after a clean, then lift the robot off the dock until the next session. Following that habit from the first charge cycle preserves usable capacity significantly longer than permanent dock storage.
