OBH Nordica EO654 / EO6545NO/BA0 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V, 2000mAh Li-ion battery for the OBH Nordica EO654 and EO6545NO/BA0 cordless handheld vacuum cleaners. It replaces the original cell when the vacuum loses suction early, fails to hold charge, or stops powering on. Voltage and capacity match the original specification exactly.

• EO654 and EO6545NO/BA0 compatibility: Both models run the same 14.4V motor rail and use an identical battery housing with the same connector orientation and retention clip. A single cell covers both variants without modification.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the EO654 motor under normal and restricted-filter loads. The BMS held stable at the rated voltage draw under normal suction and tripped correctly at overcurrent when the inlet was fully blocked — no false cutoffs recorded during open-airflow passes.
• Dock charging on the EO654: Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock permanently. Continuous dock contact pushes a low-level trickle charge into the cell even when full. Charge to 100%, remove from the dock, and return it only when the battery is depleted.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The EO654 motor draws more current as filter restriction increases. A partially clogged filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling voltage down from the cell faster than the indicator circuit expects. The indicator reads state-of-charge, not motor load — so it can show half-full while suction has already collapsed. Clean or replace the filter first, then test the battery under a clear airpath before assuming the cell is faulty.

Motor cutting out mid-use and recovering after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is sustained against a blockage or a heavy-pile carpet, current draw spikes beyond the cell's rated output threshold. The BMS disconnects the motor to protect the cell, then resets once current demand drops. Check the inlet nozzle and filter for obstruction — if the vacuum runs cleanly on hard floors but trips on carpet, the filter is the cause, not the battery.
