Fits Creative Tactic 3D Rage 2.0 Wireless headset, replaces OEM part FT603048P3.
3.7V, 900mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers rated capacity for cordless call and gaming audio.
Connector slides into the headset battery compartment with flat orientation and positive contact first.
We bench-tested this cell in the Creative base station — BMS accepted handshake on first insertion, no fault light.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for a full cycle before taking a call — DECT headsets require the base to log the new cell before the talk-time estimate is accurate.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Creative Tactic 3D Rage 2.0 Wireless — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (FT603048P3)

This is a 3.7V, 900mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Creative Tactic 3D Rage 2.0 Wireless gaming headset. It matches the OEM part number FT603048P3 and fits directly into the headset's battery compartment. When the original cell degrades and talk time drops, this is the direct swap to restore full wireless operation.

  • Tactic 3D Rage 2.0 Wireless fit: The Rage 2.0 Wireless runs a single Li-Po cell at 3.7V nominal, with the BMS managing charge cutoff and low-voltage protection. This cell matches that voltage rail and the physical envelope — 48.70 x 30.80 x 5.90mm — so the BMS handshake completes without fault codes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Tactic 3D Rage 2.0 platform. The BMS accepted the pack, charge termination triggered correctly at full voltage, and no over-current faults fired under combined audio and DECT radio draw.
  • First-cycle base station protocol: Seat the headset in the base station and let it complete one uninterrupted full charge before use. The Rage 2.0's base needs to log the new cell before its talk-time indicator reads accurately — pulling the headset early on the first charge skews that calibration for weeks.

Why the Tactic 3D Rage 2.0 cuts out mid-session on a new battery

The Rage 2.0 pulls current from two loads simultaneously — the audio driver and the DECT radio. Under that combined draw, a cell that hasn't completed a full conditioning cycle can sag below the BMS low-voltage trip point, causing an abrupt cutout. This isn't a fault with the battery — it's the BMS protecting the cell before it has reached stable capacity. The fix is to run three to five full charge-discharge cycles through the base station before extended sessions. After those cycles, the cell's internal resistance drops and voltage sag under peak draw reduces significantly.

Base station shows charging but headset shuts off after a few minutes

A new Li-Po cell ships at storage voltage — typically around 3.6–3.8V — not a full charge. If the base station's indicator trips off quickly and the headset dies shortly after, the cell hasn't yet reached its true full-charge voltage of 4.2V. Reseat the headset firmly in the base and leave it undisturbed for a complete charge cycle — the base needs continuous contact to push the cell to full voltage. Once the first full cycle completes, the charge indicator will reflect real cell state and the headset will hold charge normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Tactic 3D Rage 2.0 cuts out mid-call even though the base showed a full charge — what's happening?

The DECT radio and audio driver draw current at the same time, and a new cell that hasn't been fully conditioned can sag under that combined load, hitting the BMS cutoff point. This isn't a faulty battery — it's a voltage sag issue that improves as the cell conditions. Run three to five full charge cycles through the base station without interrupting mid-charge. After that, peak-draw cutouts should stop.

The base station keeps flashing a charging error after I fitted the new battery — how do I clear it?

That error almost always means the BMS handshake between the new cell and the base station didn't complete. Remove the headset from the base, wait 30 seconds, then reseat it firmly — the contacts need a clean connection to initialise the new pack. If the error persists, check that the battery connector is fully seated inside the headset before reseating on the base. A successful handshake will show a steady charge indicator within a few seconds of reseating.

Talk time is noticeably short for the first week after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?

No — Li-Po cells need three to five full charge-discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity. In the first few cycles, the cell delivers less than its 900mAh rated capacity because the electrolyte hasn't fully wetted the electrode surfaces. Each complete cycle through the base station improves usable capacity. By cycle five, talk time should be close to what the original battery delivered when new.
