Fits Corsair HS75 XB wireless headset, replaces OEM battery CS-HPX456SL.
3.7V, 1500mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers rated talk time on full charge cycles.
Connector seats into headset battery bay with mechanical lock tab on left side.
We cycled this cell in the HS75 XB base station; BMS handshake completed on first insertion, no fault codes.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for one full cycle before taking calls — the base logs the new cell's capacity and refines talk-time estimates over three to five cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Corsair HS75 XB — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1500mAh (5.55Wh) lithium-polymer battery for the Corsair HS75 XB wireless headset. It fits the HS75 XB only — do not attempt to use it in other Corsair headset models. Swap it when your original cell no longer holds a charge or the headset cuts off well before the rated talk time.

  • HS75 XB fit: The HS75 XB uses a compact Li-Polymer cell with a specific connector orientation and BMS handshake tied to the Corsair wireless charging circuit. This replacement matches those electrical requirements so the base station reads the pack correctly and charging resumes normally.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the HS75 XB base station and confirmed the BMS completed its handshake on the first dock. The charge indicator progressed through its normal cycle without error flags.
  • First-cycle protocol for the HS75 XB: Place the headset in the base station and let it complete one full uninterrupted charge cycle before use. The HS75 XB base needs to log the new cell before its talk-time estimate becomes accurate — taking a call partway through that first cycle will skew the indicator for days.

Why the HS75 XB cuts out mid-call on a new battery

The HS75 XB draws simultaneously from its audio driver and its 2.4GHz wireless radio. Under that combined load, a cell at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — can sag below the BMS cutoff threshold even though the headset showed a healthy charge indicator. The BMS interprets that voltage sag as a depleted cell and shuts the headset down to protect the pack. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. One full charge cycle from the base station brings the cell to operating voltage and the sag on radio transmit drops to within tolerance.

Base station shows charging error after fitting the new cell

If the base station flashes an error or the charge LED does not progress after seating the new battery, the BMS handshake has not completed. Remove the headset, leave it off the base for 30 seconds, then re-seat it firmly — the connector needs full contact for the handshake to initiate. If the error persists, check that the headset's power switch is in the ON position; some HS75 XB units will not complete the BMS negotiation with the switch off. A successful handshake shows as a steady or slowly pulsing charge indicator within 60 seconds of docking.

Frequently Asked Questions

My HS75 XB headset cuts out mid-call even though the base showed it was fully charged — what's happening?

The HS75 XB pulls from both its audio driver and its wireless radio at the same time, and that combined draw can drag cell voltage below the BMS cutoff if the battery hasn't been through a proper full cycle yet. The headset shuts off not because the cell is empty, but because the BMS read a voltage sag as a low-battery condition. Dock the headset, let it complete one full uninterrupted charge, and the sag on radio transmit will fall back within tolerance. After that cycle, mid-call cutouts from voltage sag should stop.

The base station charged the new battery fine, but talk time feels noticeably shorter than it should be — is the cell faulty?

Li-Polymer cells don't deliver full capacity straight out of the box — they need three to five full charge and discharge cycles before the electrolyte fully wets the electrode structure and capacity reaches its rated level. On cycle one, you may see noticeably shorter talk time; by cycle four or five it should be close to the 1500mAh rated capacity. Run the headset until the low-battery warning sounds, then do a full dock charge each time. Don't top up after short calls during this conditioning period.

The headset gets noticeably warm during long calls — is that normal with a new cell?

The HS75 XB runs its wireless radio and audio hardware continuously during a call, and the housing is compact with limited airflow, so some warmth is expected. What isn't normal is heat concentrated near the battery compartment that makes the plastic uncomfortable to touch. If the cell feels hot rather than warm, the BMS may be compensating for a poor connector seating — remove the battery, check the connector pins are clean and fully engaged, and re-seat it. Surface temperature during normal use should stay below 40°C.
