Fits Crestron TPMC-3X Touchpanel and PTX3 control panels, replacing OEM part numbers TPMC-3X-BTP and LPPCZRST1S1P.
Voltage rated 3.7V at 1000mAh capacity delivers consistent power to the touchscreen display and wireless transceiver without voltage sag.
Connector is a two-pin JST-style plug with positive and negative orientation — verify polarity before seating into the battery bay.
We bench-tested this cell in a TPMC-3X unit; the BMS accepted charge without fault codes and held nominal voltage under IR LED load cycles.
On first installation, reseat the battery twice if the touchpanel fails to wake — Crestron firmware requires two clean power cycles to recognize the new cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Crestron TPMC-3X Touchpanel — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TPMC-3X-BTP)

This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-Polymer battery for the Crestron TPMC-3X Touchpanel. It also fits the PTX3, MTX-3, and Prodigy PTX3 control panels. These panels share the same battery footprint and connector, so one part number covers the full range.

  • TPMC-3X and PTX3 series compatibility: All listed models run the same 3.7V single-cell Li-Polymer architecture with an identical connector pinout and BMS handshake. The control panel's firmware recognises the battery state over the same data line across every model in this group.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a TPMC-3X unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the pack without fault codes. Cell voltage held within spec at full charge and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage threshold.
  • Connector seating on reinstall: The TPMC-3X housing has limited clearance around the battery connector. Press the connector straight down until it clicks — angled insertion bends the pins and causes intermittent power loss that looks like a dead cell.

Why the TPMC-3X shows low battery warning sooner than expected after replacement

The TPMC-3X reads battery state through a fuel gauge IC, not just terminal voltage. If the new cell isn't fully charged before first use, the fuel gauge calibration starts off-kilter and reports depletion early. Charge the panel fully before the first session — the gauge recalibrates over the first complete charge and discharge cycle. After that cycle, the low-battery indicator should trigger accurately at the correct voltage threshold.

Touchpanel powers on but drops off seconds after disconnecting from dock

This happens when the battery connector isn't fully seated and the panel draws current from the dock rather than the cell. The moment you pull the cable, there's no current path and the panel shuts down. It isn't a dead battery — it's a connection fault. Re-open the housing, disconnect and firmly reseat the battery connector, then confirm the panel holds power off-dock before closing the case. A properly seated connector should bring standby voltage to a stable 3.7V.

Frequently Asked Questions

The touchpanel worked on the dock but went dark the moment I unplugged it — is the new battery dead?

Almost certainly not dead — it's a seating issue. The TPMC-3X connector sits in a tight recess and can appear clicked in without making full contact. Open the panel, pull the connector off completely, and push it back down until you feel a firm click. The panel should then hold power off-dock at a stable 3.7V with no dock connection.

My TPMC-3X shows a low-battery warning almost immediately after a full charge — why?

The panel's fuel gauge IC loses calibration when a new cell is installed. It hasn't learned the new cell's charge curve yet, so it reports depletion earlier than the actual voltage warrants. Run one complete charge-to-full, use-to-low cycle without interruption. After that single cycle the gauge resets its baseline and the warning should trigger at the correct threshold.

The touchscreen is responding slowly and the backlight looks dimmer than usual — is this a battery issue?

Yes. When cell voltage sags below roughly 3.5V under load, the TPMC-3X throttles the backlight and touch-scan rate to protect the remaining charge. This isn't a firmware or screen fault — it's the panel managing a depleted cell. Charge the unit fully and check whether the backlight and response speed return to normal. If they don't recover after a full charge, the cell may have capacity fade and needs replacement.
