Fits Dell Venue 11 Pro 5130 tablet; replaces OEM part 9MGCD, XMFY3, 0T8NH4, and six additional Dell SKUs.
7.4V, 4300mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers 31.82Wh — sufficient runtime for full workday on the 11-inch display.
Connector seats into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation marked on the housing.
We bench-tested this cell in the Venue 11 Pro 5130 with the fuel gauge IC active; BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion with no handshake delay.
After installation, discharge fully to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this recalibrates the fuel gauge against the new cell and fixes inaccurate percentage display.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dell Venue 11 Pro 5130 — 7.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (9MGCD)

This 7.4V, 4300mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces the original cell in the Dell Venue 11 Pro 5130 tablet. It fits the T06G chassis and matches the OEM connector, BMS pin-out, and physical dimensions (232.05 × 84.37 × 4.65mm). Compatible models include the Venue 11 Pro 5130-9356 and Venue 11 Pro 7140.

  • Multi-model fit — 5130 and 7140 series: These Venue 11 variants share the same T06G board layout, battery connector, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers both platforms without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on a Venue 11 Pro 5130 unit. The BMS communicated correctly with Windows, accepted charge without fault codes, and held stable voltage through combined display and WiFi load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After installing this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the fuel gauge IC to re-map against the new cell's actual capacity curve and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that appear immediately after a swap.

Why the Venue 11 Pro shuts down at 15–25% remaining

The Venue 11 Pro 5130 runs a combined load — 11-inch IPS panel plus dual-band WiFi plus background Windows processes — that draws significantly more current than idle. When the cell voltage dips under this load, it can drop past the BMS cutoff threshold before the reported percentage reaches zero. The fuel gauge IC reads state-of-charge from a table calibrated to the previous cell, so the displayed percentage and actual cell voltage fall out of sync. Running one full discharge-to-shutoff cycle after installation resets that table and stops the early cutoff.

Fast charging unavailable after battery replacement

Windows sometimes withholds fast-charge negotiation until the charge controller confirms the new cell has completed at least one accepted charge cycle. If the battery icon shows "plugged in, charging" but the adapter negotiation stays at standard rate, this is the charge IC running a verification pass — not a fault. Let the tablet complete one full charge from low to 100% without interruption. After that cycle, fast charge resumes and the charge rate returns to normal.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Venue 11 Pro 5130 is showing 60% battery but it just shut off — why?

The fuel gauge IC on the 5130 stores a state-of-charge map tied to the original cell's capacity curve. After a battery swap, that map is wrong, so the displayed percentage and actual cell voltage diverge under load. When display and WiFi draw peaks, the real cell voltage can hit the BMS cutoff while Windows still reports 15–25% remaining. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — that resets the fuel gauge table to the new cell.

The battery percentage on my Venue 11 Pro 5130 drops from 100% to 80% in minutes after the replacement — is the cell faulty?

This is fuel gauge drift, not a faulty cell. The charge IC calibrated its percentage curve against the old battery's internal resistance profile. The new cell has a different discharge slope, so early readings fall faster than reality until the IC recalibrates. Discharge the tablet fully to automatic shutoff and then charge it to 100% in a single uninterrupted session. After that one cycle, the reported percentage will track the actual cell voltage accurately.

My Dell Venue 11 Pro keeps getting warm near the charging port area during the first few charges after the swap — should I stop charging?

Warmth during the first two or three charge cycles is normal with a new lithium-polymer cell. The charge IC runs a conditioning pass — measuring internal resistance and adjusting charge current — which generates slightly more heat than steady-state charging. Surface temperature at the charging port area should stay below 40°C. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or Windows throws a battery warning, disconnect and inspect the connector seating; otherwise let the first full cycle complete without interruption.
