Fits Dell Venue, V03B, Venue Pro, V02S smartphones replacing OEM part 214L0.
3.7V at 1400mAh delivers 5.18Wh — matches the original cell output for standard daily use cycles.
Connector seats flush into the battery slot with no orientation reversals — locking tab engages on the left edge only.
We ran five full discharge cycles on the V03B platform; BMS accepted the new cell without fault codes, voltage held steady under moderate load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dell Venue / Venue Pro — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (214L0)

This is a 3.7V Li-ion battery rated at 1400mAh (5.18Wh), built to the same electrical spec as the original Dell 214L0 cell. It fits the Dell Venue and Venue Pro smartphones, including V03B and V02S variants. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly under load.

  • Venue and Venue Pro compatibility: Both the Venue and Venue Pro share the same 3.7V cell format, connector pinout, and BMS handshake — that is why one part number (214L0) covers the full range. Alternate OEM references include 1ICP6/67/56, CN-01XY9P-76121, 0B6-068K-A01, and PA-D008.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge-discharge cycle and confirmed BMS communication, charge acceptance, and cutoff behaviour at both ends of the voltage window. The protection circuit trips correctly at low-voltage and releases cleanly on charge reconnect.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated register.

Why the Venue reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Venue's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When you fit a new cell, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the replacement. The IC keeps reading against the old profile, so percentage jumps or reads high until a full cycle forces a recalibration. Run the phone down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — one full cycle is usually enough to reset the coulomb counter.

Venue won't power on after sitting in storage with a flat battery

If a Li-ion cell drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS engages a deep-discharge lockout to prevent an unsafe charge event — the phone will not respond to the power button or show a charging screen. Connect the phone to a wall charger (not a PC USB port) and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS release threshold, after which normal charging resumes and the phone boots.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Dell Venue shuts off suddenly when the battery still shows 20–25% — why does this happen with the new cell?

This is a voltage cliff issue. The replacement cell's voltage drops sharply under the load of the modem radio or screen backlight before the fuel gauge reads zero, so the phone's undervoltage protection cuts power while the percentage still looks safe. It clears itself after one full recalibration cycle — drain the phone to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% in one uninterrupted session. After that cycle, the fuel gauge IC maps the new cell's actual voltage curve and the early shutdowns stop.

The Venue feels warm near the battery compartment for the first few charges after fitting this replacement — is that normal?

Yes, and it is specific to new high-impedance cells. A fresh Li-ion cell has slightly higher internal resistance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC works harder to push current through it during the first few cycles — that converts more energy to heat than usual. It settles down after two or three full charge cycles as the cell's internal resistance drops. If the phone stays warm past the third full charge, check that the back cover is seated correctly and not trapping heat against the battery.

The percentage on my Venue jumps around erratically — it reads 60%, drops to 40%, then climbs back up without charging.

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell and its stored discharge profile is out of sync with the replacement's actual curve. This causes the coulomb counter to correct itself in visible jumps rather than smoothly. Run one complete discharge-charge cycle — let the phone shut down on its own, then charge fully to 100% without interruption. After that cycle the IC locks onto the correct curve and the percentage readings stabilise.
