Fits T-Mobile Venue Pro; replaces original 3.7V 1400mAh Li-ion cell.
3.7V nominal, 1400mAh capacity delivers the original runtime on a device with modest screen and modem draw.
Connector slides into the factory slot with no modification; locking tab engages at the base.
Bench charge showed normal CC-CV curve; BMS accepted full 5.18Wh without early cutoff or thermal drift.
On first boot after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle before heavy use — the fuel gauge IC needs to recalibrate against this cell's fresh discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

T-Mobile Venue Pro — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V, 1400mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the T-Mobile Venue Pro smartphone. It fits the Venue Pro directly, restoring power to a device that has suffered years of charge-cycle degradation. Voltage and capacity match the OEM specification exactly.

  • Venue Pro platform fit: The Venue Pro uses a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion pack with a standard flat-contact connector. This replacement matches that cell configuration, voltage rail, and physical envelope — 59 × 37 × 6mm — so the door closes flush and the contacts seat correctly.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the cell through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS accepted charge from the Venue Pro's onboard charge IC without fault flags, held voltage above 3.5V under screen-on load, and tripped the low-voltage cutoff cleanly at the expected floor rather than dropping abruptly.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: On first use after swapping this cell in, disable any fast-charge mode and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. The Venue Pro's fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. One full cycle lets it relearn the new cell before the charge IC pushes higher current into an uncalibrated pack.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Venue Pro after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve of the degraded original cell. When the new cell hits a steep voltage drop under modem or display load — typically around 3.6V — the phone reads it as critically low and shuts down, even though the reported percentage shows charge remaining. The fix is a full discharge cycle: let the phone run down until it powers off on its own, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After one complete cycle the coulomb counter recalibrates to the new cell's actual curve and the premature cutoffs stop.

Venue Pro not powering on after the battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells that sit discharged for extended periods can drop below 2.5V per cell, triggering BMS lockout — the protection circuit opens and blocks current flow to prevent damage. Plugging in the charger shows no response because the BMS will not pass charge until voltage recovers above the recovery threshold. Connect the phone to a wall adapter and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — many charge ICs apply a trickle current that slowly brings the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.9V, at which point normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my Venue Pro show a different battery percentage after I put the new cell in?

The fuel gauge IC on the Venue Pro was trained on the discharge curve of the original degraded cell. After a swap, the stored curve no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity relationship, so the percentage readout drifts or jumps. Run one complete discharge — screen on, no charger — until the phone powers itself off, then charge to 100% without interruption. That single cycle resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's curve.

The Venue Pro feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is that normal?

A new Li-ion cell typically has higher internal impedance than a well-cycled one, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more heat during the first few charge sessions. This settles after three to five cycles as the cell's impedance drops toward its rated value. If the device stays warm throughout a full charge rather than only during the constant-current phase, check that the back cover is fully seated — a gap traps heat against the cell.

My Venue Pro powers on but shuts off the moment I open an app or turn the screen to full brightness — the battery percentage still shows above 40%.

This is a voltage-sag failure. Under sudden high current draw — backlight, GPS, or active data — the cell voltage collapses faster than the fuel gauge can track, crossing the BMS low-voltage cutoff before the reported percentage reaches zero. It is most common in the first few cycles after install, before the fuel gauge IC has recalibrated. Do one full discharge-charge cycle and the shutoffs will stop; if the cell voltage under load is still collapsing, check that the battery contacts in the phone are clean and making firm contact before concluding the cell is at fault.
