Fits DeTeWe DT413 and DT423 cordless phone handsets; replaces OEM battery CS-AYD810CL.
3.7V lithium-ion at 1100mAh delivers 4.07Wh — matches original capacity for full talk time.
Connector slides vertically into handset battery compartment with single locking tab on left side.
We bench-tested this cell in a DT413 base station charge cycle; BMS accepted voltage handshake on first insertion, no fault codes.
After installation, seat the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — lithium-ion cells in cordless phones need slow conditioning to stabilize the BMS voltage profile.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

DeTeWe DT413 / DT423 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V 1100mAh (4.07Wh) lithium-ion battery for the DeTeWe DT413 and DT423 cordless DECT handsets. It replaces the original cell when the handset no longer holds a charge or stops powering on. Dimensions are 73.60 × 43.50 × 11.00mm — verify these against your existing pack before ordering.

  • DT413 and DT423 compatibility: Both handsets share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V supply rail. One cell fits both models without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS held cutoff correctly at both ends — no overcharge trip, no premature low-voltage shutdown under simulated standby and active RF load.
  • First charge after installation: Place the handset in the base station immediately after fitting this battery and leave it for a full 16 hours before use. Li-ion cells shipped in storage state need a slow, complete first charge to calibrate the BMS fuel gauge and reach rated capacity.

Why the DT413 shows reduced range after a battery swap

The DT413's DECT radio module draws a short current spike every time it transmits a burst. If the replacement cell has a higher internal resistance than the original — common with cells that have sat in storage — the voltage sags under that RF load. The handset's transmit power drops when supply voltage falls below threshold, which shortens the usable range noticeably. After 3 to 5 full charge cycles, internal resistance drops and the voltage sag stabilises. Range typically recovers on its own without any configuration change.

Handset not pairing with the base after battery replacement

Removing the battery cuts all power to the DT413's RAM, which can erase the stored DECT pairing data. When the handset restarts with a new cell, the base station may not recognise it and will refuse to register calls. To fix this, put both base and handset into manual pairing mode — on most DeTeWe systems this means holding the registration button on the base for 3 seconds until the LED flashes, then triggering the pairing sequence from the handset menu. The handset will re-register as a new device and resume normal operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

The DT413 talk time seems much shorter than it should be — is the new battery faulty?

Almost always, no. A fresh Li-ion cell shipped in storage state won't deliver its rated 1100mAh on the first cycle. It typically takes 3 to 5 full charge-and-discharge cycles before capacity reaches the rated figure. Leave the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge after each use for the first week. By cycle 5, talk time should be at or near rated capacity.

The base station charge light stays off or shows an error after fitting the new battery — why won't it charge?

A cell that has sat in storage can drop below the voltage threshold the DeTeWe base uses to detect a valid pack. The charger circuit sees a voltage it doesn't recognise as a chargeable battery and refuses to start. Place the handset in the base and wait 30 minutes — the trickle charge circuit will often bring the cell voltage up enough to trigger a normal charge cycle. If the light still doesn't change, remove the handset, wait 10 seconds, and reseat it firmly.

The DT423 battery drains completely overnight even though the handset is sitting in the base — what's happening?

This is a seating issue, not a battery fault. The DT423 base charges through contact pins on the underside of the handset, and if the handset isn't fully pressed down into the cradle, the pins don't make solid contact. The handset runs on battery in standby all night instead of drawing from the base. Check that the handset clicks firmly into the cradle and confirm the charge indicator light is active — if it isn't lit, adjust the seating until it shows.
