Fits NEC DT330, DTL-12BT-1, and UX5000 DG-12e handsets; replaces OEM part A50-012628-001.
3.7V lithium-ion cell at 1100mAh delivers 4.07Wh — enough capacity to match original talk time on this DECT platform.
Connector slides vertically into the handset battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation is keyed and will not force.
We bench-tested the cell in a DT330 handset; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with no base station fault codes.
Place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — lithium chemistry requires a slow initial cycle to establish voltage calibration in the DECT handset firmware.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

NEC DT330 / UX5000 DG-12e — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (A50-012628-001)

This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the NEC DT330 cordless DECT handset and compatible models including the DTL-12BT-1 and UX5000 DG-12e. It replaces OEM part number A50-012628-001 directly. The battery slots into the handset's rear compartment and connects through the standard NEC three-pin contact plate.

  • DT330 / DTL-12BT-1 / UX5000 DG-12e compatibility: These models share the same physical form factor, contact orientation, and 3.7V Li-ion power rail. The BMS handshake is consistent across the group, so one battery covers the entire platform without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on the DT330 platform. The BMS held cutoff correctly at low-voltage threshold and accepted charge from the NEC base cradle without triggering fault states.
  • First-charge protocol for Li-ion cordless handsets: Place the handset in the base immediately after installing this battery and let it charge uninterrupted until the charge indicator clears. Li-ion cells shipped at storage charge — the first full cycle from the base station brings the cell to rated capacity.

Talk time shorter than expected after fitting a new battery

A new Li-ion cell ships at around 40–50% state of charge to meet transport safety requirements. If you start using the handset before completing a full charge cycle, the available capacity is lower than rated. The NEC base cradle charges at a controlled rate — pulling the handset before the indicator clears leaves the cell partially conditioned. Run two or three complete charge-then-use cycles and talk time will reach the 1100mAh rated figure.

Handset loses DECT pairing after battery replacement

Removing the old battery cuts power completely to the handset, which can clear the pairing record stored in volatile memory on some NEC DECT platforms. The handset will show "searching" or fail to register with the base after power is restored. Re-register the handset through the base station admin menu — on most UX5000 systems this is under System → Station Assignment. Once re-registered, the handset operates normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My NEC DT330 base station shows a charging error light after I put the new battery in — what's wrong?

A Li-ion cell shipped at storage voltage (around 3.6–3.7V) can sit at the low edge of what the NEC base station accepts as a valid charge state. Some NEC cradles interpret this as a fault rather than initiating a charge cycle. Remove the handset, wait 10 seconds, reseat it firmly, and check that the battery contacts are clean and making full contact with the cradle pins. If the error clears within a minute of reseating, the base has accepted the cell and charging is underway.

The handset range dropped noticeably after swapping to the new battery — is the battery faulty?

Range reduction after a battery swap on DECT phones usually points to RF transmit power sagging when the cell voltage dips under load. On a freshly installed Li-ion cell that hasn't completed its first full charge, the available voltage headroom is lower than rated. Run the handset through one complete charge cycle from the base — once the cell reaches full charge at 4.2V, the transmit power stabilises and range returns to normal.

The battery drains completely overnight even though the handset is sitting in the base — why?

This happens when the handset isn't fully seated in the cradle and the charging contacts aren't making a solid connection. The handset draws standby current continuously but receives no charge from the base, so it depletes by morning. Check that the handset clicks into the cradle without rocking — NEC DT330 bases have a locating tab that must align with the handset slot. If seating is confirmed and drain continues, inspect the cradle contacts for oxidation and clean them with a dry cloth.
