Fits Doro 1450 and 1455 cordless phone handsets, replaces OEM battery CS-P302CL.
3.6V 600mAh Ni-MH chemistry restores talk time and standby duration on aging handsets.
Connector slides straight into handset battery compartment with no locking tab required.
We bench-tested the pack on a Doro base station — BMS accepted voltage threshold immediately, no conditioning fault.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Ni-MH cordless phone batteries require slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Doro 1450 / 1455 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V 600mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Doro 1450 and 1455 cordless phone handsets. It slots directly into the handset battery compartment and restores charge capacity to handsets that no longer hold a useful charge. Dimensions are 40.00 × 42.00 × 13.50mm.

  • Doro 1450 and 1455 compatibility: Both models share the same handset battery bay, voltage rail, and connector configuration. One battery fits both. No adapters needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran charge and discharge cycles on this cell using a cordless phone base station. The NiMH chemistry accepted the trickle charge from the base without overheating, and voltage held stable across repeated cycles.
  • First charge on NiMH cordless handsets: After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use. NiMH cells ship partially depleted and need a slow initial charge to reach rated capacity — skipping this step leaves you with noticeably shorter talk time from day one.

Base station showing charging error after fitting a new NiMH pack

NiMH batteries lose voltage during storage. If a cell arrives well below the base station's acceptance threshold — typically under 3.0V — the base may refuse to charge it or flash an error light. The fix is to place the handset firmly in the base and leave it undisturbed for several hours. Most Doro bases will begin trickle charging once the cell voltage rises above the cutoff point, usually within 30–60 minutes of contact.

Talk time shorter than original battery after the first few charges

NiMH cells require three to five full charge and discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity. A new battery used straight from the box will deliver less talk time than expected — this is normal cell behaviour, not a fault. Run the handset until it needs charging, return it to the base for a full charge, and repeat. By cycle four or five, capacity should stabilise at or near the rated 600mAh.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Doro 1450 handset is draining completely overnight even when it's sitting in the base — why?

This usually means the handset isn't making proper contact with the base charging pins. Check that the handset is fully seated and that the charging contacts on both the handset and base are clean — a thin film of oxidation on NiMH-charged contacts is enough to break the circuit. Wipe both sets of contacts with a dry cloth and reseat the handset. If the standby draw continues, test with a known-good base to rule out a faulty charging cradle.

After swapping the battery in my Doro 1455, the handset won't pair with the base anymore — what happened?

Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, and some DECT phones lose their pairing data when power is fully interrupted. This isn't a battery fault — it's how the handset stores its registration. Re-register the handset manually: on most Doro bases, press and hold the page/register button on the base for several seconds until the base enters pairing mode, then follow the handset menu to re-register.

The Doro 1450 handset cuts out or drops calls when I move further from the base — it was fine before the battery swap. Is the new battery causing this?

Yes, this can happen with a new NiMH cell that hasn't completed its conditioning cycles. DECT handsets draw a brief surge of power during RF transmission, and an under-conditioned NiMH cell can sag in voltage under that load — enough to reduce transmit power and shorten range. Run three to five full charge and discharge cycles on the handset, then retest range. A fully conditioned cell should hold above 3.4V under RF load.
