Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dreame MC1808 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (P1904-4S1P-MM)
This 14.4V 2500mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Dreame MC1808 cordless vacuum cleaner. It matches the OEM part number P1904-4S1P-MM and fits directly into the MC1808 battery bay. Voltage and capacity are matched to the original specification.
- MC1808 platform fit: The MC1808 runs a 4S Li-ion cell configuration on a 14.4V nominal rail. The BMS in this pack communicates the same charge and discharge parameters as the original, so the vacuum's power management behaves normally through the full discharge cycle.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the MC1808 platform. The BMS held cutoff voltage at the correct threshold and the charger handshake completed without faults on every cycle tested.
- Dock charging on the MC1808: Do not leave the MC1808 sitting on the charging dock continuously between uses. Cordless vacuums on permanent dock charge develop capacity fade faster than units charged only when the battery is depleted. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the MC1808
This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS expects — usually because a partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder. The added load pulls the cell voltage down faster than the indicator circuit anticipates, so the vacuum feels like it is losing charge when the filter is actually the cause. Clean or replace the filter first. If suction recovers and the battery indicator stabilises, the pack is fine. A battery genuinely reaching end of life will show voltage sag even on a clean filter — cell voltage at full charge should read 16.8V across the pack terminals.
MC1808 motor cutting out mid-use then recovering after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty battery. When suction is restricted — blocked nozzle, saturated filter, or a hair wrap around the brush roll — current spikes past the BMS protection threshold and the pack shuts the motor off. The BMS resets automatically once current drops, which is why the vacuum recovers after a short pause. Clear the blockage and check the filter before assuming the battery is at fault. If cutouts continue on a clear airpath, the cell voltage under load is dropping below the BMS floor — check resting voltage, which should be above 14.0V on a fully charged pack.

Frequently Asked Questions
My MC1808 runs for a noticeably shorter time than it used to — could a blocked filter be causing this?
Yes, a partially blocked filter is one of the most common causes of shortened run on the MC1808. The motor compensates for restricted airflow by drawing more current, which depletes the cells faster than the rated capacity implies. Clean or replace the filter and run a full charge cycle before concluding the battery has faded. If run time recovers after a clean filter, the pack is not the problem.
The MC1808 battery seemed fine at first but capacity has dropped after a few months — what causes that?
Continuous dock charging is the most likely cause. Li-ion cells held at 100% charge under a trickle current — which is what happens when the vacuum sits permanently on the dock — develop capacity fade significantly faster than cells that are only charged when depleted. Going forward, charge the MC1808 to full and remove it from the dock until the next use. A replacement pack used with the same charging habit will degrade at the same rate as the original.
The charger light stays on solid but the MC1808 still won't power on after a full charge — what should I check?
A solid charger light can indicate a completed charge or a failed BMS handshake depending on charger state — the two look identical from the outside. First, check the resting voltage at the battery terminals; a fully charged 4S Li-ion pack should read 16.8V. If voltage is present and the vacuum still will not power on, press and hold the power button for five seconds to rule out a soft-lock on the motor controller. If voltage reads below 12V, the cells have deep-discharged past the BMS recovery threshold and the pack needs replacing.
