This is a 14.4V 2500mAh Li-ion battery for the Xiaomi Roborock 1C robotic vacuum cleaner. It fits the STYTJ01ZHM, SKV4093GL, and XM2000021 chassis. The OEM part number is P1904-4S1P-MM — verify this against the label on your original cell before ordering.

  • Roborock 1C platform fit: The 1C, SKV4093GL, STYTJ01ZHM, and XM2000021 all run the same 14.4V four-cell pack with an identical connector and BMS handshake. Swapping between these variants requires no modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the 1C platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the dock charger, accepted charge without fault codes, and the motor controller recognised state-of-charge data normally.
  • Dock charging discipline on robotic vacuums: Do not leave the Roborock 1C on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade on Li-ion packs faster than normal cycling does. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next cleaning run.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than the pack can sustain at its present state of health. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling sustained high current that causes voltage to sag below the controller's threshold. The 1C interprets this as a low-cell-voltage event and reduces motor speed before the indicator shows empty. Clean the filter first — if suction still drops early with a fresh filter, the pack has degraded and needs replacing.

Motor cuts out mid-run then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a charge level issue. When suction is restricted — blocked brush roll, clogged filter, or hair wrapped around the intake — the motor draws a sustained current spike that triggers the BMS protection circuit. The pack shuts output, cools briefly, then resets. Clear the blockage and check that the filter is seated correctly. If trips continue on an unblocked machine, measure pack voltage at rest: a healthy cell should read at least 16.0V fully charged.

My Roborock 1C stops mid-clean, sits for a minute, then starts again — is that the battery failing?

That pause-and-recover pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead cell. The battery's protection circuit cuts output when the motor draws a sustained current spike — usually caused by a blocked filter, tangled brush roll, or restricted intake forcing the motor to overwork. Clean the filter and clear the brush roll first. If the trips continue on an unblocked machine with a fresh filter, the pack has degraded and is no longer holding voltage under load — replace it.

The replacement battery won't charge on the dock — the indicator just flashes and stops.

The Roborock 1C dock charger expects a BMS handshake from the pack before it begins a charge cycle. If the BMS in the replacement cell doesn't respond correctly, the charger faults out and stops. Confirm the part number on the replacement matches P1904-4S1P-MM exactly. If it matches, seat the battery firmly, power-cycle the dock by unplugging it for 30 seconds, then re-dock — this resets the charger's fault latch and allows a fresh handshake attempt.

The 1C used to clean the whole apartment on one charge — now it barely gets through one room. Nothing is blocked.

Capacity fade from continuous dock charging is the most common cause when the vacuum has been left on the dock between every run. Li-ion cells on permanent trickle charge degrade faster than cells that are cycled fully. A new pack restores rated capacity, but the habit needs to change too — charge to full, remove from the dock, and only re-dock when the battery is depleted. If the new pack also fades quickly within a few months, check that the dock power adapter output is within spec: it should deliver 20V DC.
