Dreame Mova S10 Plus / RLS42SD — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (P2150-4S2P-FMTEV)

This is a 14.4V Li-ion battery pack rated at 6800mAh (97.92Wh), built to the same electrical spec as the original P2150-4S2P-FMTEV unit. It fits the Dreame Mova S10 Plus and RLS42SD cordless stick vacuums. The pack powers both the motor drive and onboard electronics through a shared BMS-managed cell array.

• Mova S10 Plus and RLS42SD compatibility: Both models run the same 14.4V motor rail and use an identical connector and BMS handshake protocol — one pack covers both without modification.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge cycling and load testing on the Mova S10 Plus motor platform. The BMS held voltage within spec under sustained suction load and tripped correctly at low-cell thresholds before any cell damage could occur.
• Dock charging behaviour on this vacuum: Do not leave the Mova S10 Plus sitting on the charging dock permanently. Cordless stick vacuums on continuous dock charge develop capacity fade faster than those charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

On the Mova S10 Plus, suction loss before the indicator shows low is almost always a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws more current than rated to maintain airflow — this pulls the cell voltage down under load even though the resting charge reads normal. The BMS reads the sag as a near-depleted pack and throttles motor output to protect the cells. Clean or replace the filter first; if suction recovers, the battery was never the fault.

Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a short pause

This cutout-and-recover pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dying battery. Restricted airflow — from a clogged filter, a blocked brush roll, or a sealed inlet — forces the motor to spike current to maintain suction, which the BMS reads as a fault condition and shuts the motor off. After a short rest the BMS resets and the vacuum starts again. Clear the restriction, then restart the vacuum; if the motor runs without cutting out, the pack is functioning correctly. If the cutout continues on a clean, unobstructed vacuum, check that the replacement pack's BMS handshake is being recognised by the charger before assuming cell failure.
