Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dreame X40 Master / RLX73CE — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (R2416-4S2P-XDEV)
This is a 14.4V, 6700mAh Li-ion battery pack for the Dreame X40 Master and RLX73CE cordless stick vacuums. It replaces OEM part R2416-4S2P-XDEV and restores motor power to both models. Capacity is rated at 96.48Wh.
- X40 Master and RLX73CE compatibility: Both models run on the same 14.4V battery rail with the same connector and BMS handshake protocol. One battery pack covers either unit — no adapter or firmware difference between them.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the X40 Master platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the charger, held cutoff voltage at the expected low threshold, and triggered protection cleanly under a simulated motor-stall load.
- Dock charging habit on stick vacuums: Do not leave the X40 Master sitting on its charging dock permanently. Continuous dock charging applies a low-level trickle current that accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells over weeks. Charge fully, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next use.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The X40 Master's motor draws significantly more current when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter or obstructed brush roll causes voltage to sag under load even when the cells still hold charge. The BMS reads this sag as a near-depleted state and throttles motor output before the indicator reflects the actual cell level. Cleaning the filter and clearing the brush roll resolves this in most cases. If suction still drops early after cleaning, check resting cell voltage — a healthy pack should read above 15.8V off the charger.
Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failed battery. When the brush roll snags on thick carpet or debris, motor current spikes sharply and the BMS opens the discharge circuit to protect the cells. The unit powers off, and after a few seconds the BMS resets and allows restart. Clear the obstruction before switching the vacuum back on — restarting under the same load will trip the BMS again immediately. If trips occur on bare floors with no visible blockage, inspect the filter, as airflow restriction produces the same overcurrent spike.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Dreame X40 Master loses suction well before the battery light shows it's low — is the battery faulty?
Usually not — a clogged filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which causes voltage to sag under load and makes the BMS throttle output early, even with charge remaining in the cells. Clean the filter first and clear any debris from the brush roll, then retest. If suction still drops early with a clean filter, check the resting voltage of the replacement pack — it should read above 15.8V directly after a full charge.
The vacuum cuts out suddenly during use and restarts fine after I wait a few seconds — what's happening?
The BMS is tripping on an overcurrent spike, which happens when the brush roll snags or airflow through the machine is restricted. The protection circuit opens to guard the cells, then resets after a brief pause. Clear the brush roll of any tangled hair or debris before restarting — powering on into the same blockage will trip the cutoff again immediately. If it trips on hard floors with no visible obstruction, check and clean the filter, as restricted airflow produces the same overcurrent load on the motor.
I replaced the battery but the X40 Master won't charge — the charger light just blinks or does nothing.
The X40 Master charger performs a BMS handshake before initiating the charge cycle, so a replacement pack whose cells have dropped below the recovery threshold may not trigger the expected response. Connect the battery and leave it on the charger undisturbed for 15–20 minutes — some BMS units need a trickle pre-charge phase before the charger registers a valid pack. If the charger still shows no response after that window, measure the battery's open-circuit voltage with a multimeter; a reading below 12V indicates the cells have deep-discharged past the BMS recovery point.
