Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ICLEBO G5 / G7 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 14.4V, 3400mAh (48.96Wh) Li-ion battery fits the ICLEBO G5 and G7 robotic vacuum cleaners. It replaces the original pack when capacity fade has shortened cleaning cycles to the point where the unit can no longer complete a full floor pass. Dimensions are 69.40 × 37.50 × 37.30mm — confirm these against your existing pack before ordering.
- G5 and G7 compatibility: Both models share the same 14.4V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol, which is why one pack covers both. Swapping between models carries no voltage or handshake risk.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the G5 platform. The BMS held charge termination correctly and did not trip the overcurrent threshold during simulated motor-start draw.
- Dock charging habit for G5 / G7: Do not leave the robot parked on its dock permanently between sessions. Continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells at this voltage. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next use.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
On the G5 and G7, the motor draws noticeably more current when the filter is partially blocked or the brush roll is restricted. The BMS reads this sustained high draw as a voltage sag event and throttles output before the charge indicator registers low. The result is reduced suction that looks like a battery problem but is actually a load problem. Clean the filter and check the brush roll first — if suction recovers immediately, the battery is not the cause.
Motor cutting out mid-cycle and then recovering on its own
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failed battery. When the G5 or G7 encounters sustained suction restriction — a clogged filter, a tangled brush roll, or a stuck wheel — motor current spikes above the BMS threshold and the pack shuts output to protect the cells. The unit pauses, the BMS resets after a few seconds, and the motor restarts. If this keeps recurring, clear the restriction first. If the trip happens on an unobstructed floor, check that pack voltage under load stays above 12.0V — consistent sag below that level points to cell degradation.

Frequently Asked Questions
The ICLEBO G5 stops mid-clean, sits for a few seconds, then starts again — is that the battery dying?
That pause-and-restart pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failing cell. When the motor hits a restriction — blocked filter, tangled brush, jammed wheel — current spikes and the BMS cuts output to protect the pack, then resets. Clear the filter and brush roll first. If the behaviour stops, the battery is fine; if it continues on a clear floor, measure pack voltage under load and check it stays above 12.0V.
My G5 seems to lose suction well before the battery indicator shows it's low — why?
A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated to maintain airflow. That extra draw causes a voltage sag the BMS interprets as a low-cell condition, so it throttles motor output early — before the charge indicator moves. The battery level readout looks fine because the cells still hold charge; the motor is just working harder than it should. Clean or replace the filter and the suction drop should move back in line with the actual charge level.
Will the G5's charging dock work normally with a replacement battery, or does it need a specific BMS handshake?
We confirmed on the bench that the G5 dock completes a normal charge cycle with this pack — charge termination triggered correctly and the indicator cleared as expected. The G7 behaved the same way. If your dock light does not switch from charging to full, seat the robot firmly on the contacts and try a different power outlet before assuming a compatibility issue. If it still won't charge, measure voltage at the dock contacts — both should read above 16V with the adapter plugged in.
