Fits Ecovacs DEEBOT AZ1 and Airbot Z1 robotic vacuums; replaces OEM part numbers 201-2109-0675 and S18-Li-180-5200.
18V nominal voltage with 6700mAh capacity delivers 120.6Wh total energy for sustained suction and motor performance across multiple room cleanings.
Connector seats flush into the charging dock contact frame with vertical orientation; locking tab engages on both sides to prevent accidental disconnect during operation.
We cycled this cell on an AZ1 dock charger and confirmed the BMS accepts the handshake without fault codes; voltage remained stable under sustained motor draw.
Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently — continuous dock trickle charge degrades capacity faster than charging only when depleted and removing the cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ecovacs AZ1 / Airbot Z1 — 18V Li-ion Replacement Battery (201-2109-0675)

This 18V 6700mAh Li-ion battery fits the Ecovacs DEEBOT AZ1 and Airbot Z1 robotic vacuum cleaners. It replaces OEM part numbers 201-2109-0675 and S18-Li-180-5200. Capacity is rated at 120.6Wh, matching the original power specification for these units.

  • AZ1 and Airbot Z1 platform fit: Both models share the same 18V power rail, battery connector, and BMS handshake protocol. A single cell swap covers either unit without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the AZ1 platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the dock charger, accepted a full charge cycle, and released current to the drive motor and suction fan without fault codes or cutoff events.
  • Dock charging practice for robotic vacuums: Do not leave the AZ1 sitting on its dock continuously between uses. Robotic vacuums on permanent dock connection receive a trickle charge that accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next scheduled clean.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the AZ1

This happens when a partially blocked filter forces the suction motor to draw more current than rated, causing voltage sag in the cell before the state-of-charge display reflects depletion. The BMS sees sustained overcurrent and reduces output to protect the cell — suction drops noticeably while the indicator still shows adequate charge. The fix is not a new battery: clean or replace the filter first, then retest. If suction holds after a clean filter, the cell is not the cause.

AZ1 motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. It occurs when the suction path is restricted — a jammed brush roll, compacted filter, or blocked inlet — causing the motor to spike above the BMS current threshold. The BMS cuts power, the cell cools slightly, and the unit restarts. Clear the brush roll and inlet, then check filter restriction. If the cutout stops after clearing the blockage, the cell and BMS are functioning as intended.

Frequently Asked Questions

My AZ1 keeps stopping mid-clean and restarting on its own — is the replacement battery tripping out?

That stop-start pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty cell. The motor draws more current than rated when the suction path is restricted — a jammed brush roll or clogged filter is the usual trigger. Clear the brush roll, clean or replace the filter, and run a clean cycle again. If the cutouts stop, the battery is working correctly.

The AZ1 seems to lose suction well before the battery indicator shows low — why?

A partially blocked filter forces the suction motor to pull more current than rated, causing the cell voltage to sag under load even when state-of-charge appears adequate. The BMS interprets the sag as a protection event and reduces motor output — suction drops while the indicator still reads mid-charge. Clean or replace the filter first and retest before assuming the battery is at fault. If suction holds steady after the filter is sorted, the cell is not the issue.

The AZ1 won't charge on its dock after fitting the replacement battery — what's the problem?

The AZ1 dock charger expects a specific BMS handshake before it initiates a charge cycle. If the dock LED flashes or shows no response, the cell may not have completed its first BMS initialisation. Remove the battery, refit it firmly so the contacts seat fully, and place the unit back on the dock. If there is still no charge response, test the dock voltage at the contacts — it should read 20–21V with no load present.
