Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Haier Z9 Pro Series — 25.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (N170-7S1P)
This is a 25.2V, 3900mAh lithium-ion battery pack for the Haier Z9 Pro cordless stick vacuum. It also fits the E9-ProU1, Z10-WU1, and Z8, among others — all models that share the N170-7S1P form factor and BMS handshake. Capacity is 98.28Wh.
- Z9 Pro, E9-ProU1, Z10-WU1, Z8 compatibility: These models share the same 25.2V cell configuration, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. Swapping the N170-7S1P pack between any of them does not require re-pairing or firmware changes — the handshake is handled at the BMS level.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the Z9 Pro platform. The BMS held cell balancing across the 7S cell string without tripping overcurrent protection under sustained motor load at max suction mode.
- Dock charging habit on cordless stick vacuums: Do not leave the Z9 Pro sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charge accelerates capacity fade on this cell configuration. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next use.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the Z9 Pro
This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS expects — usually caused by a partially blocked filter or brush roll, not a failing battery. The pack's BMS interprets sustained high draw as a stress event and steps down voltage to the motor before the fuel gauge triggers. Clean the filter and check the brush roll for hair wrap first. If suction recovers, the battery is not the cause. If suction remains weak with a clean filter, check cell voltage at rest — a healthy pack should read above 24V off charge.
Motor cuts out mid-use then restarts on its own
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a power switch fault. When restricted airflow forces the motor to work harder, current draw spikes past the BMS cutoff threshold and the pack shuts output to protect the cells. The BMS resets after a few seconds, which is why the vacuum restarts without you doing anything. Check the filter, inlet, and brush roll for blockages before assuming the battery is faulty. If cut-outs continue with clean airflow, the original pack's cells may have degraded below the minimum voltage threshold — at that point, replacement is the correct fix.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Haier Z9 Pro lose suction power well before the battery light comes on?
The motor is drawing more current than normal — almost always a clogged filter or blocked brush roll, not a battery fault. The BMS steps down motor voltage when it sees a sustained current spike, and that happens before the fuel gauge registers low. Clean the filter and clear any hair wrap from the brush roll. If suction returns to full strength, the battery is not the issue.
My Z9 Pro motor cuts out for a few seconds then comes back on — what's causing that?
That's a BMS overcurrent trip resetting itself. Restricted airflow makes the motor work harder, current spikes past the BMS protection threshold, and the pack cuts output to protect the cells — then resets within seconds. Check the inlet, filter, and brush roll for blockages before replacing the battery. If cut-outs continue with a fully clear airflow path, measure resting cell voltage — a pack that won't hold above 22V under load needs replacing.
The replacement N170-7S1P battery isn't charging on my Z9 Pro — the charger light just blinks and stops. What's wrong?
The charger on these Haier models expects a specific BMS handshake before initiating a charge cycle. If the pack's cells have dropped below the charger's wake-up voltage threshold — typically around 21V — the charger will refuse to start a full charge. Connect the battery and leave it on the charger for 20 minutes; some chargers will trickle-charge a low pack until it crosses the threshold and full charging begins. If the light still blinks and the pack reads below 20V with a multimeter, the cells are in deep discharge and the pack needs to be replaced.
