Fits Electrolux ZB264x and Spirit Wet and Dry models replacing OEM part 4/P-140SCR or 900055173.
4.8V 3000mAh Ni-MH pack delivers consistent voltage through the motor cycle without sag dips.
Slides into the battery slot with a single locking tab — connector aligns flat, no force needed.
Bench tested on ZB264x charger with full acceptance; BMS showed stable cell balance across discharge cycles.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously — Ni-MH packs degrade under trickle charge and lose capacity fast within weeks, so charge to full and remove immediately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Electrolux ZB264x / Spirit Wet and Dry — 4.8V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (4/P-140SCR)

This is a 4.8V 3000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Electrolux ZB264x and Spirit Wet and Dry cordless stick vacuums. It slots into the battery compartment where the original cell pack degrades over time, restoring the vacuum to working condition. Capacity is rated at 14.4Wh, matching the original specification.

  • ZB264x and Spirit Wet and Dry compatibility: Both models run a 4.8V sub-C Ni-MH cell arrangement with the same connector footprint and BMS handshake, which is why they share a single replacement pack. Swapping between units in this range does not require any modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack on the ZB264x motor under normal and restricted-airflow conditions. The BMS held voltage above 4.2V through full draw cycles before stepping down correctly, with no false overcurrent trips during sustained operation.
  • Dock charging discipline for the ZB264x: This model's charging circuit does not stop current when the pack is full — leaving the vacuum permanently on the dock applies a continuous trickle that degrades Ni-MH cells faster than normal cycling. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until depleted.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The ZB264x motor draws more current when airflow is restricted by a partially blocked filter or full dust cup. As current demand rises, a degraded or partially discharged Ni-MH pack sags in voltage faster than the indicator circuit can register. The result is reduced suction well before the LED shows a low-battery warning. Clean the filter and empty the cup first — if suction recovers, the battery is not the cause.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failed motor. When sustained restricted airflow forces the motor to draw current beyond the pack's rated threshold, the BMS disconnects to protect the cells. After a brief cooldown the circuit resets and the vacuum runs again. The fix is to clear the filter and check the suction path for blockages — once airflow normalises, current draw drops back within the BMS limit and the cutouts stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ZB264x vacuum loses suction halfway through cleaning but the battery light isn't showing low — what's going on?

A partially blocked filter forces the motor to pull more current than rated, which causes voltage sag in the Ni-MH pack well before the indicator registers low. The battery indicator measures charge state, not load-adjusted voltage, so it lags behind real-world performance under strain. Pull the filter out, tap it clean, and empty the dust cup — if suction returns to full strength, the battery is holding fine. If suction stays weak after cleaning the filter, charge the pack fully before the next use.

The vacuum motor cuts out after a few seconds of use, then works again if I wait — is the battery faulty?

This is the BMS tripping on overcurrent, not a dead battery. When airflow through the head or filter is restricted, the motor compensates by drawing higher current — the BMS disconnects the pack to protect the cells, then resets after a short pause. Check the filter, the suction channel, and the brush roll for blockages before assuming the battery is the problem. Once airflow is clear, the current draw drops within the BMS limit and the cutouts stop.

The replacement battery charges but the vacuum runs for noticeably less time than it used to — what causes that with a new cell?

A new Ni-MH pack at 3000mAh needs two or three full charge-and-discharge cycles before it reaches rated capacity — first use is rarely the longest. If the vacuum has been sitting on the dock between uses, the charger's continuous trickle current will also reduce effective capacity even in a fresh pack. Remove the vacuum from the dock as soon as charging is complete and run it down fully before the next charge. After three full cycles the pack should settle at its rated 14.4Wh output.
