Fits Euro Pro XB2700 and V2700Z cordless vacuums; replaces OEM part C-XB2700.
4.8V and 1600mAh capacity powers the motor through full cleaning cycles on this handheld unit.
Connector slides onto the dock contacts with a positive-lock tab; orientation is keyed to prevent reverse insertion.
We bench-tested this Ni-MH cell on the Euro Pro charging dock; BMS accepted the charge without delay and discharged evenly under motor load.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously after reaching full charge — trickle charging damages Ni-MH capacity faster than removal and storage off the dock.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Euro Pro XB2700 / V2700Z — 4.8V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (C-XB2700)

This is a 4.8V 1600mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Euro Pro XB2700 and V2700Z cordless handheld vacuums. It replaces OEM part number C-XB2700 directly. When the original cell no longer holds charge, this battery restores motor power without replacing the whole unit.

  • XB2700 and V2700Z compatibility: Both models run the same 4.8V motor rail and use identical battery connectors with the same physical footprint — 51.80 x 39.24 x 26.80mm. No wiring or adapter work needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through load draws matching the XB2700 motor under carpet and hard-floor conditions. The BMS held stable voltage delivery across both draw levels without unexpected cutoff.
  • Dock charging practice: Remove the XB2700 from the charging dock once the battery reaches full. Ni-MH cells in handheld vacuums that stay on continuous trickle charge lose measurable capacity well before the cell reaches end of life. Charge when depleted, then disconnect.

Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than the battery can sustain at its current state of charge. A partially blocked filter is usually the trigger — restricted airflow forces the motor to work harder, pulling voltage down faster than the indicator circuit registers. The vacuum feels like it is running out of battery when it is actually hitting a voltage sag from overcurrent draw. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest suction at a full charge.

Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the motor encounters sustained restriction — a blockage in the nozzle, a clogged filter, or heavy carpet fibres — current draw spikes past the BMS threshold and the circuit opens to protect the cell. After a short rest the BMS resets and power returns. Clear any blockage in the nozzle path, check the filter for buildup, and confirm the cell is reading at least 4.5V under no-load before concluding the battery is at fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Euro Pro XB2700 suction drops off fast even with a freshly charged battery — is the battery already failing?

Not necessarily. A partially blocked filter forces the XB2700 motor to draw more current than rated, which pulls the cell voltage down faster than the battery indicator tracks. Clean the filter first and retest — if suction holds longer after that, the battery is fine. If suction still drops quickly on a clean filter with a full charge, measure cell voltage under load; anything below 4.2V under motor draw points to cell degradation.

The vacuum cuts out for a few seconds then comes back on by itself — what causes that?

That is the BMS tripping on an overcurrent spike, not a loose connection or a failing cell. The XB2700 motor pulls a hard current surge when airflow is restricted by a blockage or a full filter. Once the BMS trips, it resets automatically after a short cooldown. Clear the nozzle path, clean the filter, and if the cutout still happens on open airflow, check that resting cell voltage is at or above 4.8V before writing off the battery.

The replacement battery charged overnight but the XB2700 still shows almost no runtime — did I get a bad cell?

Ni-MH cells that have been deeply discharged sometimes need two or three full charge-discharge cycles before reaching rated capacity. Run the vacuum until it cuts off from low voltage, charge it fully, and repeat. If capacity does not improve after three cycles, check whether the charger voltage output matches the 4.8V requirement — an underperforming charger will surface-charge the pack without completing a full cycle.
