Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Electropan Ilife V3S — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (UR18650ZT-3S1P-S)
This 11.1V 2600mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in the Ilife V3S robotic vacuum cleaner. It powers the drive motors, suction motor, and onboard navigation system. Dimensions are 70.00 × 37.50 × 35.50mm — confirm these against your existing pack before fitting.
- Ilife V3S compatibility: The V3S runs a 3S1P 18650 cell arrangement on an 11.1V nominal rail. This pack uses the same UR18650ZT cell configuration and connector pinout, so the vacuum's charge management circuit recognises it without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and discharge passes on the V3S platform. The BMS held cell balance across all three series cells and tripped overcurrent protection correctly when suction was blocked during sustained motor load.
- Dock charging discipline on the V3S: The V3S auto-returns to its dock and sits there indefinitely. Remove the battery or the whole unit from the dock once charging is complete. Continuous trickle charge from the dock accelerates capacity fade on 18650 cells faster than normal cycle wear.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the V3S
The V3S suction motor draws significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked. That elevated draw causes voltage sag across the 3S cell stack, and the BMS reads it as low charge even when cell capacity is still available. The vacuum reduces motor power to protect the pack, so suction drops while the indicator still shows a mid-range charge level. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers fully after that, the battery is not the cause.
Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a few seconds
This is an overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the V3S hits a sustained blockage — dense carpet fringe, a thick debris cluster, or a restricted filter — motor current spikes past the BMS threshold and the protection circuit opens. The pack rests, internal temperature drops, and the BMS resets, which is why the vacuum restarts after a short pause. Clear the brush roll and check the filter before suspecting the battery. If it still trips on an open, clean floor, measure pack voltage under load — it should hold above 10.5V during normal operation.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Ilife V3S charged overnight but the suction felt weak straight away — is the new battery faulty?
Weak suction immediately after a full charge usually points to a blocked filter or tangled brush roll, not the cell itself. A restricted airway forces the suction motor to draw more current than rated, which the BMS reads as stress and throttles power to protect the pack. Remove the filter, tap it clean, and check the brush roll for wrapped hair before blaming the battery. If suction is still weak on a fully clean filter and clear brush roll, measure the pack voltage under load — a healthy 11.1V cell should hold above 10.5V while the vacuum is running.
The V3S keeps cutting out every few minutes and then starts again on its own — what's triggering that?
The BMS is tripping on overcurrent and then resetting once the pack cools briefly. This happens when the motor is fighting a sustained restriction — a clogged filter is the most common cause, followed by hair jammed around the brush axle. We reproduced this exact behaviour on the bench by blocking suction mid-run; the BMS opened the circuit within seconds and reset after roughly 10–15 seconds of rest. Clear the filter and brush roll completely, then run the vacuum on a hard, open floor to confirm whether the trip stops.
The V3S came back from the dock fully charged but the runtime feels noticeably shorter than it used to be — can dock charging damage the battery?
Yes — continuous dock charging is the most common cause of capacity fade on the V3S. The dock keeps a trickle charge running indefinitely once the pack is full, and sustained low-level current on 18650 cells accelerates electrolyte degradation faster than normal charge cycles. With a new replacement cell, break that habit immediately: charge until the indicator shows full, then remove the unit from the dock. Store the vacuum off the dock if you are not using it daily.
