Fits Elfbot T2, C1, D1, M160 cordless vacuums; replaces OEM battery FD-CDM-A-L14.4.
14.8V, 2600mAh lithium-ion delivers full motor torque on carpet and hard floors.
Connector slides straight onto the dock charge contacts with a single locking tab.
We bench-tested the BMS under sustained motor draw; no early cutoff observed.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock permanently — continuous trickle charge degrades capacity faster than full-charge removal.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Elfbot T2 / C1 / D1 / M160 — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (FD-CDM-A-L14.4)

This is a 14.8V, 2600mAh Li-ion battery pack for the Elfbot T2, C1, D1, and M160 cordless stick vacuums. It replaces OEM part FD-CDM-A-L14.4 and restores power to the vacuum's motor and suction system. Capacity matches the original spec at 38.48Wh.

  • T2, C1, D1, and M160 compatibility: These four Elfbot models share the same 14.8V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one pack serves all four without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through motor-start loads on the T2 platform. The BMS held steady through repeated start surges and responded correctly to the charger's handshake signal without throwing a fault.
  • Dock charging behaviour: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock between uses. Continuous dock connection exposes the cells to a slow trickle charge that accelerates capacity fade. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next use.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The T2's motor draws more current the moment airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter or full dustbin forces the motor to work harder at the same voltage. As current draw climbs, cell voltage sags earlier in the discharge curve than the indicator expects, so suction weakens while the LED still shows two or three bars. This is not a battery fault — it's a load mismatch caused by restriction. Clean the filter and empty the dustbin before concluding the battery is weak.

Motor cutting out mid-clean and recovering after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip. When the vacuum sustains restricted suction for more than a few seconds — hair wrap on the brush roll, blocked inlet, or clogged filter — current draw spikes past the BMS protection threshold and the pack shuts off to protect the cells. The BMS resets automatically after a short thermal and voltage recovery window, which is why power returns after a pause. Clear the blockage and restart the vacuum; the trip will not repeat if airflow is restored. If it trips repeatedly on an unblocked machine, check the brush roll for debris wrapped at the bearing ends.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Elfbot T2 suction feels weak halfway through a clean but the battery still shows charge — is the battery failing?

Not necessarily — this is more often a filter restriction issue than a battery fault. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw higher current, which causes cell voltage to sag early in the discharge cycle before the indicator registers low. Clean the foam and mesh filters, empty the dustbin, and run again. If suction holds through a full clean after that, the battery is fine.

The motor on my Elfbot cuts out for a few seconds then comes back on — what's causing that?

That's the BMS tripping on an overcurrent spike, not the battery dying. Sustained restricted airflow — from hair wrap on the brush roll, a blocked inlet, or a clogged filter — drives current above the BMS protection threshold, which shuts the pack off briefly. The BMS resets once voltage and temperature recover, which is why power returns within seconds. Clear the brush roll and check the filter; if it still trips on an unobstructed machine, verify the inlet path from floor to dustbin is fully clear.

My replacement FD-CDM-A-L14.4 battery isn't charging on the Elfbot dock — the light doesn't come on at all.

The Elfbot charger uses a BMS handshake to confirm the pack before starting a charge cycle — if the handshake fails, the dock shows no activity even though the pack isn't flat. First, reseat the battery firmly in the dock to rule out a contact seating issue. If the light still doesn't respond, remove the battery, wait 60 seconds, and reinsert — this clears any held fault state in the BMS. If the dock LED then shows a charge light, let it run to full; if it still shows nothing, test the dock output voltage at the contacts, which should read between 16.8V and 17V on a working unit.
