Fits Elephone P9000, P9000 Dual SIM LTE, and P9000 Lite phones; replaces OEM battery P9000.
3.8V, 3000mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full charge cycles to aging P9000 devices.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with one locking tab on top.
We bench-tested this cell in a P9000 chassis; the BMS accepted charge at 1A without cutoff.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Elephone P9000 Series — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (P9000)

This is a 3.8V, 3000mAh (11.4Wh) lithium-polymer cell for the Elephone P9000 smartphone. It fits the standard P9000, P9000 Dual SIM LTE, and P9000 Lite variants. All three models use the same battery footprint, connector, and BMS handshake.

  • P9000, P9000 Dual SIM LTE, P9000 Lite compatibility: These three variants share a common voltage rail at 3.8V nominal and an identical physical connector with the same BMS pin-out. Swapping between them requires no wiring changes — the fuel gauge IC on each board reads the same cell chemistry identifiers.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and full-draw discharge on the P9000 board. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, the charge IC stepped cleanly through CC and CV phases, and the coulomb counter registered expected capacity without manual reset.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell — preventing erratic percentage readings from the first day.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

The P9000's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When a new cell is installed, the IC underestimates how much charge remains at any given voltage. Under high-draw loads — modem handoff, screen-on bursts, GPS — the cell voltage drops below the cutoff threshold faster than the IC predicts. The phone interprets this as a dead cell and shuts down, even though charge remains. Run one full discharge to below 5% and a full charge to 100% without interruption to let the coulomb counter recalibrate to the new cell.

USB-PD fast charge not triggering on the first cycle after replacement

After a cell swap, the charge IC on the P9000 can default to standard 5V/1A input until the BMS reports a verified cell state. This is a protection behaviour — the controller will not negotiate higher voltage until it confirms cell temperature and impedance are within range. On the first charge, use a standard 5V charger and allow a full cycle to complete. On the second charge, the fast-charge handshake should resume normally at the expected input voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Elephone P9000 keeps shutting off at around 25% battery even though the replacement cell is brand new — what's happening?

The fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve from the old degraded cell, so it miscalculates the voltage cliff on the new one. Under modem or screen load, the cell drops below the IC's cutoff threshold before it expects, triggering a protective shutdown. Run one uninterrupted full discharge down to below 5%, then charge to 100% without unplugging early. After that single calibration cycle, the coulomb counter will track the new cell accurately.

The battery percentage on my P9000 is jumping around — it reads 60%, then drops to 40% a minute later without me doing anything. Is the replacement cell faulty?

The cell itself is almost certainly fine — this is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating after a cell swap. The IC's stored discharge model no longer matches the new cell's voltage-versus-capacity curve, so the percentage output is unstable while the counter re-maps it. Complete one slow, uninterrupted discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled. The percentage should stabilise once the IC has a clean reference curve for the new cell.

My P9000 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in the phone for a few weeks without charging — is it dead?

A lithium-polymer cell left uncharged in a device can self-discharge below 2.5V per cell, which triggers a BMS lockout to prevent damage. The BMS will refuse to pass current to the board until the cell is brought back above the recovery threshold. Connect the phone to a standard 5V wall charger — not a fast charger — and leave it for at least 30 minutes without pressing the power button. If the cell voltage recovers above 3.0V, the BMS will release and the phone will boot or show the charging screen.
