Fits VIVO X9i smartphone and replaces OEM battery part number B-B9.
3.85V, 3150mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full charge cycles on aged or failed original packs.
Connector type matches OEM housing — slides into battery slot with flat contact pins aligned.
Bench testing showed BMS accepted voltage curve on first insertion; no early cutoff detected.
On first charge cycle, disable fast charging in settings — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before USB-PD pushes current into an uncalibrated BMS.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BBK VIVO X9i — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-B9)

This is a 3150mAh (12.13Wh) Li-Polymer cell built to replace the original B-B9 battery in the VIVO X9i smartphone. It fits the X9i directly and matches the original voltage and physical footprint. Dimensions are 82.90 × 62.40 × 3.40mm.

  • VIVO X9i fit: The X9i uses a sealed rear housing with a dedicated battery connector tied to the fuel gauge IC. This cell matches the B-B9 connector pinout and capacity spec, so the device's power management circuit accepts it without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the VIVO X9i platform. The BMS accepted charge on the first cycle, and the fuel gauge IC tracked state-of-charge without triggering a low-voltage cutoff error.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge recalibration: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.

Why the VIVO X9i reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The X9i uses a coulomb counter to track charge state. That counter was calibrated to the old cell's internal resistance profile. A new cell has different impedance, so the stored curve no longer matches actual charge delivery. The phone may show 50% and cut off seconds later, or sit at 1% for an extended period. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the IC to rewrite its reference curve.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% charge on the VIVO X9i

This is a voltage cliff failure — not a capacity problem. Under modem transmission load or peak screen brightness, the cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC predicts, crossing the 3.2V hardware cutoff before the displayed percentage reaches zero. It happens most often on a fresh cell that hasn't been calibrated yet. Run one full discharge cycle with the screen on and mobile data active, then charge uninterrupted to 100% to anchor the gauge to the new cell's real voltage curve.

Frequently Asked Questions

My VIVO X9i won't turn on after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

Likely not dead — the BMS has locked out the cell due to deep discharge below 2.5V. Connect the phone to a low-current charger (a standard 5W USB adapter works better here than a fast charger) and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. The BMS needs trickle current to bring the cell voltage above the reinitialisation threshold before it allows normal operation. If the charging indicator appears within that window, the cell is recovering normally.

Fast charging stopped working on the VIVO X9i right after I put the new battery in — why?

The VIVO proprietary fast charge protocol performs a handshake between the charge IC and the battery BMS on the first cycle. A new cell with an uncalibrated BMS sometimes fails that handshake and the phone falls back to standard 5V charging. Perform one full standard charge to 100%, then let the phone discharge below 20% before plugging in again — on the second or third cycle the handshake typically succeeds and fast charging resumes normally.

The battery percentage on my VIVO X9i keeps jumping around erratically — 45% one minute, 60% the next. What's causing it?

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve and hasn't locked onto a stable reference yet. This is normal for the first two to three cycles after a cell swap. To speed up stabilisation, run a full uninterrupted discharge with the screen on until the phone shuts down automatically, then charge in one session to 100% without interruption. After two cycles of this, percentage reporting should stabilise within a few percentage points of actual state-of-charge.
