Fits Elson EL560 and EL560 Dual smartphones, replacing OEM battery part number BTY26171.
Voltage measures 3.7V at 1100mAh capacity, matching the original cell's energy output for this device.
Connector slides into the standard battery slot with no locking tab — seats flat against the housing.
We cycled this cell on an EL560 bench unit; the BMS accepted charge without fault codes or thermal rise.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before USB charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Elson EL560 / EL560 Dual — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BTY26171)

This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-ion battery for the Elson EL560 and EL560 Dual smartphones. It replaces OEM part BTY26171 when the original cell no longer holds sufficient charge for daily use. Voltage and physical dimensions match the original: 57.24 × 48.44 × 4.01mm.

  • EL560 and EL560 Dual fitment: Both variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V supply rail. One replacement covers either model without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS accepted charge current correctly, and protection thresholds — over-voltage, over-current, and cell-level cutoff — triggered as expected.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging if available and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. The EL560's fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. One uninterrupted cycle lets it map the new cell before reporting accurate percentages.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the EL560 after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff, not a capacity fault. When the modem transmits or the screen brightness spikes, current draw rises sharply. A new cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge IC can read 25% while the actual resting voltage is already close to the BMS low-voltage cutoff threshold. The phone shuts down before the displayed percentage reaches zero. One full discharge-charge cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter and pushes the reported percentage back in line with real cell voltage. After calibration, the cutoff should track closer to 3.2–3.3V per cell under load.

EL560 not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent damage and will not pass current to the device. The phone appears completely dead — no boot, no charge indicator. Connect the phone to a wall charger, not a PC port, and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs a small trickle current to bring the cell above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.9V, before normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Elson EL560 shows 25% battery and then just cuts off — is the replacement battery faulty?

This is a voltage cliff, not a defective cell. The fuel gauge IC on the EL560 is calibrated to your old cell's discharge curve, so the percentage it displays no longer matches the actual cell voltage under load. When the modem or screen draws a sudden spike of current, the real voltage drops below the BMS cutoff before the counter reaches zero. Run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption — this resets the coulomb counter against the new cell and the early shutdowns stop.

The EL560 battery percentage jumps around erratically after I fitted the new cell — 60% one minute, 45% the next.

The fuel gauge IC is still running its calibration against the old cell's stored data. It has no accurate reference curve for the new cell yet, so it interpolates badly and produces unstable readings. This is not a wiring or contact fault. Let the phone discharge fully until it shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After one complete cycle the IC locks onto the new discharge curve and percentage readings stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on my EL560 after fitting the replacement — it only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC treats the new cell as high-impedance and defaults to a lower constant-current rate until it builds a charge history. This is normal protective behaviour, not a compatibility failure. Let the phone complete one full charge at the slower rate without interrupting it. On subsequent cycles the charge IC steps back up to its normal current, and fast charging resumes if the charger and cable support the required input voltage.
