Fits Mobistel EL560 and EL560 Dual smartphones replacing OEM part number BTY26171.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 1100mAh capacity powers standard calling, messaging, and app functions without modification.
Connector seats directly into the EL560 battery slot with no mechanical locking tab or orientation pin required.
We bench-tested this cell in an EL560 unit; the BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion without fault codes or voltage regulation issues.
On first charge after installation, complete one full discharge-charge cycle before enabling any fast-charge mode to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mobistel EL560 / EL560 Dual — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BTY26171)

This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-ion cell replacing OEM part BTY26171 in the Mobistel EL560 and EL560 Dual smartphones. It slots directly into the original battery bay and connects to the same three-contact BMS interface. Dimensions are 57.24 × 48.44 × 4.01mm — verify your original cell matches before ordering.

  • EL560 and EL560 Dual compatibility: Both variants share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol, so one cell SKU covers both. The dual-SIM model draws slightly higher standby current from the second radio, but the charge IC and cutoff thresholds are identical.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the EL560 platform. The BMS accepted the handshake on the first cycle, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.2V, and low-voltage cutoff held at 3.0V under a simulated modem-load discharge.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge recalibration: On first use after installation, disable fast charging if your charger supports it and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean reference curve against the new cell before high-current charging begins pushing current into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the EL560 after a cell swap

A new cell has a slightly different voltage-versus-capacity curve than the aged cell the fuel gauge IC was calibrated to. When the phone hits the modem transmit load or screen brightness peak, the cell voltage drops sharply below the OS shutdown threshold — even though the reported percentage still looks safe. The fuel gauge IC reads that voltage cliff as a hard cutoff and kills the system. One full discharge-charge cycle resets the coulomb counter and maps the new cell's actual curve, which pushes the cliff back to its correct position below 5%.

Phone not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if this cell dropped below roughly 2.5V before installation, the BMS will have entered lockout mode to prevent damage to the cell chemistry. The phone will show no response — no charging animation, no vibration. Connect the device to a wall charger, not a USB port, and leave it for 15–20 minutes. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold of approximately 2.9V, after which normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

The EL560 battery percentage jumps around erratically after I put the new cell in — is something wrong with it?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC on the EL560 stores a learned discharge curve from the old battery, and the new cell's curve doesn't match it yet. This causes the percentage counter to skip or jump as the IC tries to reconcile real-time voltage readings against stale calibration data. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — the coulomb counter resets against the new curve and the readings stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on the EL560 after I replaced the battery — the phone just slow-charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC can fall back to trickle or standard charge mode because the BMS on the new cell hasn't yet completed a full handshake with the phone's charge controller. This is a one-cycle protection behaviour, not a fault. Let the phone complete one full charge from near-empty to 100% on a standard charger. On the next charge cycle, fast-charge negotiation should resume at the correct current level.

My EL560 feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is that normal?

A fresh cell typically has higher internal impedance than a well-cycled one, which means the charge IC dissipates slightly more heat during the first few charge cycles. This produces mild warmth at the back of the phone near the battery bay. It should reduce noticeably after three to five full cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or the warmth persists beyond five cycles, check that the battery contacts are fully seated and the cover is not trapping heat against the cell.
