Fits ESYLUX ELX LED emergency lighting units, replaces OEM part number EN10077418.
3.6V, 3000mAh Ni-MH cell delivers the capacity needed for full-duration backup illumination during mains failure.
Connector slides into the vertical slot with the locking tab facing the charge board contact — seating requires firm pressure until the tab clicks.
We bench-tested this pack on the ELX charge circuit; the BMS accepted the float voltage within one charge cycle and held stable overnight.
Run a manual test cycle within 24 hours of installation by holding the test button for the full rated duration — this confirms the new cell accepts load and lets the charge controller register capacity before compliance testing.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ESYLUX ELX LED — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (EN10077418)

This is a 3.6V, 3000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the ESYLUX ELX LED emergency lighting unit. It fits fittings identified by OEM part number EN10077418. Capacity matches the original cell at 10.8Wh.

  • ELX LED fitting compatibility: The ELX LED series uses a shared voltage rail and connector format across its standard emergency lighting range. This cell matches the physical dimensions (128.80 × 24.30 × 22.30mm), terminal orientation, and charge voltage the onboard controller expects. No modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge cycle and simulated mains failure. The charge controller accepted the cell without fault, the emergency circuit activated cleanly on mains drop, and the BMS held the load voltage steady across the test duration.
  • First-cycle test requirement: Perform a full manual test within 24 hours of installation by holding the test button for the complete rated duration. This lets the charge controller register the new cell and confirms the cell accepts load before your next scheduled compliance test.

Charge indicator staying red after new battery installation

The ELX LED charge controller checks cell voltage before switching to float charge. A new Ni-MH cell that has been in storage often sits below the float acceptance window — typically under 3.4V — so the controller holds in fast-charge mode and keeps the indicator red. This is normal and not a fault. Leave the fitting connected to mains for 12–24 hours. Once the cell reaches the float threshold (around 3.6–3.72V), the indicator will switch to green.

Emergency light dims partway through a duration test

A new cell that hasn't completed its first full charge cycle will show lower available capacity under sustained load. The fitting draws constant current during a test, and an undercharged Ni-MH cell drops voltage faster than rated — the LED output dims as the cell voltage falls. This is a conditioning issue, not a defective cell. Allow a full 24-hour charge after installation, then rerun the test. The cell should hold rated voltage for the full test duration from the second cycle onward.

Frequently Asked Questions

The fitting still shows a fault LED after I've installed the new battery and checked the connections — what's causing that?

Some ESYLUX ELX LED fittings latch a fault condition in firmware and don't clear it automatically when a new cell is detected. The fault LED won't reset just because the new cell is seated. Disconnect the fitting from mains, wait 30 seconds, then reconnect — this forces a controller restart and allows it to re-read the cell. If the fault clears and the charge indicator moves to red (charging), the installation is good.

My emergency light passed the last compliance test but failed the duration test six months later after I replaced the battery — why?

A freshly installed Ni-MH cell needs at least one complete charge-and-discharge cycle before it reaches rated capacity. If the duration test was run within the first day or two of installation without a full 24-hour charge, the cell wouldn't have delivered its full 3000mAh. Run a manual test now after leaving the fitting on mains charge for a full 24 hours — the cell should reach its rated output and the test should pass.

The original battery swelled and was difficult to remove from the fitting — is that a cell fault or a fitting fault?

Swelling in Ni-MH emergency lighting cells is almost always caused by prolonged trickle overcharge, not a manufacturing defect in the cell. Emergency light charge controllers apply a low continuous charge when the cell is full — if the controller's float voltage drifts high over years, typically above 3.9V on a single Ni-MH cell, it forces recombination gases that cause the cell casing to expand. Inspect the charge controller output voltage with a multimeter before installing the replacement. If it reads above 3.9V at float, the fitting's charge circuit needs servicing before the new cell goes in.
